I definitely thought of it as a gimmick judging from the demo and have yet to use it...

When I do though, I'll certainly set up a Gameplan, because regular Gameflow is just like Ask Madden.

I think it would be revolutionary IF they added a Play Editor into it...

I find ASK MADDEN functions better...Is quick and gives you 3 plays to SEE and choose from...I find no need to use gameflow or even gameplanning for that matter. Worthless to me, priceless for others...I think that was what they were going for honestly.

Gamplanning is nice, but is it necessary really? To me NO. I can still find plays when i need them and ask madden has worked fine for years for me and still does essentially the same thing that an OC would do cept you have 3 (sometimes 2) options. Plus,l the playbooks actually got smaller, so getting used to your or any teams playbooks is even easier.

I still say Gimmick....I dont see it coming back in M12, but gameplanning will return, that part has potential.

What is the difference between Gameflow and Ask Madden? I am really not into having the CPU call my game for me. Instead of them working on this gimmick, they should have worked on bringing back working weather that actually changes during the game and impacts how you play. There is more strategy involved when you have the weather to deal with. I just don't get why EA has not addressed this after all of these years. Is it because they are unable to program it? If so, just ask Sega who put it in Joe Montana's Sport Talk Football on the Sega Genesis!

I believe this is a start to something revolutionary. The next step should be a gameplanning scouting feature that will assist in changing up the gameplan and plays associated with it for your next opponent. Using a madden point system like in MLB 2k series. You have so much budget per year to scout your opponents and players and you can earn some extras by performance against previous teams. If your oppponent favors runs to the right your defensive playbill should coincide with that. This couldn't huge in next few years.

They are desperately reaching for a model that justifies a new version of the game every year. It gives people a reason to talk and try it even if the conclusion is 'it sucks'. And by then, they've already got their revenue. I've used it a lot. It's buggy, it's strategically inaccurate and incapable of properly suggesting valuable suggestions for playcalling. It rarely takes into account WHO you're playing, what the situation is, how important of a play it is.
Gimmick all the way.

It can be revolution with 2 tweaks 1. Make the rating for oc/dc have some effect on calls and 2. If they followed and charted the actual nfl team and made game flow follow that it would be revolutionary.
