Um, that's a lie. They released him out of respect and he said in a press conference how much he loved Jacksonville and how he understood why they did what they did. Maybe get your story straight.

Re: Jacksonville Jaguars...Is their end near?

I have no idea what the future holds for the Jags... I lived in the area last year... I had season tickets for 6 years with the Jags. We had marginal ticket increases every year however, gave up our season tickets when last year they were going to double. .We had 3 season tickets paying 60.00 a game and it was time to renew..>They wanted almost 120 per game for our seats... We could've downgraded the tickets but we felt kinda like we got screwed. 6 years supporting a team and they double our tickets... That's one issue. The second is the jags have NEVER gotten that big name player to draw more fans in. Sure they had the Jimmy Smiths,Keenan Mccardell, Brunelle, etc etc but when did they ever gain a huge name?? I will always be a Jags fan though....We just got pushed out of the stadium.

There was a guy from Forbes Magazine on the radio here this week and this is a league wide thing not just the Jags but there are a few owners looking to get out of the game but the problem is that the economy is so bad no one is buying teams outright. That's why you're seeing the circus in Miami with so many minority owners.

Apparently we may see more deals like that. The thing is the Managing Partner will have to own 30% of the team and you can have as many partners involved in the ownership as you want. There's about 7 owners out there wanting to get out and sell their teams.

That sucks but I'd still kill to only have to pay $120.00 for great seats on the lower level, which is what I'm assuming you have. Whenever I want to go to a Colts game, $100 is usually the minimum and that's for endzone seats on the upper level.
