Ugh, if they finagle some way to have less cap impact with these 3 guys and sign some quality help, I hope there's a big-*** strike next year and they tighten up all these loopholes. Pretty ridiculous...

After what Gilbert posted last night, I agree. Takes some balls to go over to them to ask for a sign and trade for LBJ.

Even without the sign and trade, LBJ will be 30 when this contract expires, he'll get another max. Shouldn't be much of an issue.

And the CBA was supposed to prevent these type of deals, like you said Stumble. That's why they had cap holds, extra money to stay with teams, etc. The Heat just ignored all of that. It can come back to bite them in the ***, especially if the new CBA has some sort of hard cap. That would be disastrous for the Heat. I wouldn't be surprised if other owners push for a hard cap knowing this.

You don't think Miami would be in a lot worse shape than other teams? They already have 3 players taking up most of their space. LA would be in that situation as well. You also have to remember that there are more teams who are not paying the luxury tax than those who are. Not all of the NBA would be screwed.

There would definitely be an amnesty period, but Miami would be in big trouble.
