Free Agents: I have no clue. It really depends on how much cap room they have. Anyone know a website that is keeping up with the team salary situations?
Shamsports.com has all the salaries and what not

Mike Miller to the Heat...

http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/m...,6830775.story

"The Michael Beasley Era is ending as a grand new one is about to be unveiled for the Miami Heat.

In the wake of Thursday's addition of Cleveland Cavaliers free-agent forward LeBron James, and amid the need to clear additional cap space, the Heat late Thursday night traded Beasley, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft, to the Minnesota Timberwolves for a 2011 second-round draft choice, plus a future swap of first-round picks.

The Heat then turned around and reportedly utilized that $4.9 million in gained cap space on Washington Wizards free-agent swingman Mike Miller, who had a standing five-year, $30 million offer on the table from the Heat. Radio station KSFY in Miller's native South Dakota reported the deal early Friday morning.

The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers also had offers on the table for Miller, with the Clippers' package worth significantly more than the Heat package."

Thank you. It looks like the Heat now has a Shooter/Scorer off the bench. Miller can spread the floor and basically give them depth at the Shooting Guard, Small forward, and occasionally some point guard with a larger lineup.

Now all they need is a couple good bigs to take pressure off Bosh.

Re: Free Agent Tracker (PG 1) & Off Season Movement

Some more news coming from the Heat:

Quote:
The Heat is finalizing a deal with Washington Wizards free-agent swingman Mike Miller that is expected to net the former University of Florida standout a five-year, $30 million contract.

The Heat also is finishing off a sign-and-trade agreement with the Toronto Raptors that will allow recently acquired power forward Chris Bosh to receive a six-year free-agent contract instead of the maximum five-year contract an outside free agent can receive. The Raptors, in turn, will receive a package of draft picks from the Heat and a trade exception of roughly $15 million.

Unlike Bosh, Cleveland Cavaliers free-agent forward LeBron James will receive a five-year contract, with the right to opt out after four seasons. Guard Dwyane Wade, in re-signing with the Heat, will take a six-year contract, with the right to opt out after five.
and Haslem:

Quote:
The Heat still is addressing the possibility of retaining free-agent power forward Udonis Haslem. However, under its current salary structure, the Heat only could offer Haslem a veteran-minimum 2010-11 contract of $1.1 million. The Heat then could make up the money to Haslem in 2011-12 and beyond.

However, such an approach would leave Haslem with no financial protection against a career-ending injury, possibly costing him the $30 million or so he could receive by signing with another team this summer. Haslem has had contact with several teams, with the Utah Jazz emerging as a suitor in the wake of losing free-agent power forward Carlos Boozer to the Chicago Bulls.

I didn't know Michael Beasley had an "era"? I must've missed it.
