I've done the same thing with games. I wait until I find good Steam, Amazon, or other sales and get it much cheaper than release. I don't need games right when they come out, and I save much more later.

Very true, I agree. I'm the same way, I just change what I "waste" money on...we're doing a wedding in less than a month and got our house last fall, so we spend more on stuff like that vs. games or movies.

I don't believe in saving money unless its for bills.

If I see something, I buy it. And I don't make a lot of money, it's just that I cannot take my money into the afterlife, so why should I bother keeping it in a sock drawer?

saving money always has a purpose. New house, car, vacation, etc. But also have money saved up and ready for emergencies. (auto/home repairs, doctor/hospital bills etc). Saving money is crucial. But everyones situation is different.
