Madden 2005 was better than NFL 2K5.

High Heat 2004 is still better than any version of MLB the Show(graphics aside)
That's kind of ironic to say.

I don't see what's ironic about what he said. But I can tell you graphics are not the be all and end all for some gamers.

I guess it's just my view that what determines a good game is 50% graphics 40% gameplay 10% everything else.

There's a reason I haven't played High Heat for years now, and haven't played MVP in 3 years.

See, that's the disconnect. I'm about 75% gameplay, 10% graphics and 15% everything else. Shining a turd still just gives you a shiny turd.

Back on the subject of Mexican food:

If I walk in a Mexican restaurant and they don't make their own hand made tortillas, I'd just as soon walk out and go to Taco Bell.

Not really sure you can just go "graphics aside"...then you're comparing a baseball simulator to a baseball game, I dunno....

I would say that there are aspects of HH that are better, but not sure I'd agree with this...

I think it's a little different than that. He's giving up the fact that obviously The Show will have better graphics (just due to age and the different tech they run on), but he's not comparing The Show to OOTP or anything.

I'm inclined to agree with him - outside of PYS and OOTP, High Heat is probably my most played baseball game. While The Show is hands down the best MLB game we have on the market today, there are still things older games did better as a whole that push them over the show.

You can't have a burraco. If you roll the tortilla closed, it is a burrito. If you just fold it in half and eat, it's a taco. You can't half roll it closed and half open.
