trade in. I'm 23, no one I associate with cares to see my totally awesome video game collection.

I keep them.

I've long since given up on buying 20+ games a year. At this point I only buy about 5 top of the line games a year, and probably 2 would be greatest hits or whatever and have no trade in value. I don't buy games often enough to trade them in for good value when they're new, and because I only buy good games I generally will want to play them again at some point.

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?

I sell most of my sports games on Ebay. The key is to sell them sometime between the end of the season in real life and about a month before the new game drops. I sold The show 09 in January for $30 and I also got $30 for Madden about a month ago. So it's essentially like I'm paying for a used game except I get it at release.

I also, look for deals. Like last year, Best Buy had a deal where if you bought NBA Live you could get Fight Night 4 for $20. Well, I played FN for about a month and hated it. So, I turned around and sold it on Ebay for $25.
I also, look for the "buy to get one free" type deals (usually Toys r Us is in October, BB in Nov, I think) so, I'm really only paying about $40 a game. 9 times out of 10, I'll at least get $20 for my game on Ebay so, it's basically like I rent the game for $20. I know so people probably see that as a waste of money but, once the new game drops I know that I will never play the old one.

The only games I keep are shooter type games that I may want to play want to play through again sometime in my life. Some of the games I haven't traded in are games like: Halo 3, Halo ODST, Gears of War 1 & 2, Uncharted 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, etc. I also keep games like Guitar Hero as well.

I keep them because I just can't bring myself to trade them or get rid of them. Yeah it might not be the smartest thing to do financially, but when I get a game I add it to my "collection" and don't really feel like getting rid of it.

If I didn't have a problem with not owning my games, I would have probably signed up for Gamefly a while ago.

By the time I'm done with a game, its value is so low it's not even worth trading it in. And you never know when you'll want to play some of those games again. I learned my lesson with NHL 2K3, I can't find it anywhere now.

I do a little of both. Some guys I've beaten and then traded them in while others I still hang on to. I do trade in all the yearly sports titles if I'm buying the new one. Even if Gamestop only gives me $10, its still better than nothing because I would never play it again.

Exactly how I feel about keeping old Sports games. I'll more than likely, never play them EVER again.

Both.

I keep great/classic games just for nostalgic purposes.

Every other game I trade in.
