Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?

Sports games are pretty much the only games I'll buy and I tend to trade those in if I know I'm getting next year's title, or if I just don't like the game. I will usually just go to GS (convenient) when they have a good deal going on.

I'm probably hitting them up tomorrow to take advantage of the 30% extra trade-in credit.

Games like College Hoops 2K8, NFL Head Coach 09 and some non-sports games like the Metal Gear Solid series, I'll keep b/c I can't bring myself to trade them in.

I just keep them. I'm mostly a sports gamer, so by the time I'm done with a title, the trade-in value just isn't worth it. I'd rather have it sitting in my dvd/game case for nostalgic value. As for the few non-sports games, I usually play them alot until I beat them, and keep them. Then I pop them in after a period of time and it's like new to me again.

Yeah, that was it. Plus, I signed up for an Edge card and that got me even more trade-in value.

I only trade when I'm like totally out of money. I like to try to keep games as long as I can, but eventually some of them end up at Mega Media Xchange.

If I can afford to buy a game without having to trade anything then I'll just buy it. And that's the way it goes most of the time. But occasionally there'll be a mass exodus of games because I can't afford something that just came out. Like how I just traded in half my PS3 games (8 of them) to get the money for the new World Cup game.

I did make it to Gamestop yesterday and traded in NBA Live 10 along with a few other games and got $60 in store credit. So, I picked up NBA 2K10 and left the rest on my Edge card.

What was nice is that I originally paid only $30 for Live 10, so I basically swapped it out for 2K10 without having to pay anything out of pocket.

Sounds like a good deal. BTW, I was in Wal Mart the other day and they were selling NBA2K10 for $39.99.

Yeah, 2K10 has been $39.99 for a while now. Definitely a good deal.

Re: Do you trade-in your games or keep them?

Damn, I only paid $25 for 2K10, but that was in November the day after Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I tend to keep my games, because I really don't care enough anymore to trade my games in.

The only time I even traded games in was to buy Fight Night last year, other than that, I keep them.
