I could probably play something like Chrono Trigger or Super Mario World 30 years from now and still be fine with how it looks, but if you take a dated game with 3D models from PSX, Dreamcast, or Xbox its going to look significantly worse.
Oh! LOL!

My post was NOT intended to be sarcasm. I literally had no idea what was going on there.

It was like his post entire was in Aramaic. I understood not a word. Sorry for the confusion.

Get Persona 4 and play it on easy. Best JRPG released in a long time. On easy it doesn't ask of you anymore than a Final Fantasy battle system would, but you get a better story. The exploration outside of combat is linear, so it's near impossible to get lost or to not know what you're supposed to do next.

Oof. Persona's fusion system is about the last thing I'd recommend to an RPG newcomer, but maybe it's not as essential to understand it on Easy. I'm not sure how you mean it's linear, either. The main plot is a straight line, sure. But what you do on each day and how you choose to develop your main character, social links, and personas is entirely up to you.

Love the story though (so far at least, I'm actually playing through it on and off right now), I'll agree on that.

Not essential on easy and it's linear in terms of time. I think it's absolutely a newcomer friendly RPG on easy. The systems are explained very well and are simplistic, yet deceptively deep.

You're probably right. Persona is a very good choice.

What about Scott Pilgrim vs the World? It has rpg elements as you can level up and can buy stuff to level up as well plus its a retro side scroller beat em up.

I just noticed you have a Vita DJ. If you decide to get Persona 4, I would wait for the Vita version coming this fall. It's going to have a bunch of new stuff: remastered visuals, more voiced dialogue, online features, and new story content.

Yeah, agree with this if you do go for P4. I just couldn't wait that long - I've actually got the anime on hold until I finish the game, and I'm dying to watch it.

May end up getting P4 Golden anyway for the portability and extra content....lol.
