Re: Star Wars Outlaws

Need to leave the house to pick up my copy but I'm too lazy

Patch Notes! Not sure what the egregious ones mean. Is this the launch patch or is it new?

Quote:

Releasing right now on PS5, PC and Xbox Series, the Star Wars Outlaws 1.000.002 Patch Notes claim to address numerous issues. Alongside a move to fix the game’s more egregious bugs, new features are also added in this updated.

Coming in at a hefty 8.59GB, the new Outlaws patch adds in the game’s advertised 40fps mode. However, on PS5, this mode does require your console to be set to 120Hz VRR output to be enabled.

The climbing, takedowns, swinging on stuff remind of Assassin's Creed. The shooting, straight out of Red Dead Redemption 2. Even have that build up your power, mark multiple enemies and take them out in rapid succession like RDR2 had. I am having a blast. Only 1 crash so far, but other than that, very smooth gameplay.

I was just about ready to come here and mention the SAME thing. The gunplay feels amazing! The jumping and climbing feels a bit stiff however, but not enough to take away from everything else so far. Grabbed the spaceship, escaped Canto Bight, landed on Toshara, and did the adrenaline shot with the three bounty hunters. Thats where I stopped. Looking forward to getting this game going, I can tell its going to be great.

Now, something I'm noticing that I DONT like, is the complete non reaction of NPCs in the world. They all stand there like stone pillars and don't react to physical touch or proximity. Its like the NPCs exist in Kays world but she doesn't exist in theirs. Its 2024 gents, thats NOT the business, get some life into those characters, i.e, a generic line or two if you get too close, a grunt, a head turn, something lol. For me its extremely noticeable.

Re: Star Wars Outlaws

The game downloaded overnight. So I can listen to the start of the games theme on the PS5 home screen and am already excited. Listened to it multiple times lol. Feels epic!
