Can someone please tell me, how does the playoffs modification work? Clearly the game has no clue you're playing a playoff so does it just think each game is a championship bowl game? How does the presentation handle it? I'm just not understanding that bit.

The game just thinks it is a regular, unmodded bowl game. It will not mention that this is the semifinal for the four team playoff you are creating.

You have to create it each year. There is a thread dedicated to it. It is stickied in the NCAA Football section.
