Can't believe the Knicks are considering a sign & trade for Steve Nash that involves Iman. Hopefully this doesn't go down.

Agree 100%. I also seeing Nash & Amare clicking being a problem for Carmelo.

I guess I'm in the minority and like the idea of this trade. The main reason being Nash can help salvage something from the atrocity that Amare has become. Second point is that it'll take ball out of Melos hands some, which everyone says is a big problem offensively.

Yeah I know defense suffers but unless everyone else buys in from a mindset standpoint, just relying on Iman to do it wouldn't matter.

I love Melo, in fact he's my favorite player (I'm a cuse guy), but if he can't make it work with Nash, he should just retire.

I might feel different if Nash was in his prime. Also Melo checked out when Lin was playing the point and and Melo felt like he wasn't getting his touches. With all of this talk of Lebron and now Stat working with Hakeem, Melo might need to recruit some HOFers that know how to play without the ball.

Re: The 2012 New York Knicks: The Filler Year?

I actually like the ball being in Melo's hands. I never thought the problem was Melo and still don't (okay, he does need to consider other options as well. I'll agree there). I think a good coach (Woodson can be that guy) builds plays around Melo with the ball in the post/elbow.

I also think there's this perception that Nash coming to New York would mean they'd run the Suns offense. I doubt it will be like that at all.

My problem is when Melo doesn't feel like he has the ball enough, he doesn't play hard. I love having Melo on the team, but that's unacceptable to me.

Re: The 2012 New York Knicks: The Filler Year?

You don't give up defense to get more offense. You just don't do it.

Shumpert when he gets healthy will become a better offensive player. Look at Avery Bradley of the Celtics. He's a great 2-way player whose offense is catching up to his amazing defense. Shumpert is right there. Right there.

I don't mind if the Knicks got Nash. But don't give up Shumpert to get him.

The East is so guard heavy. We're about to get ate up and it won't be pretty at all.
