It makes modding less difficult. Drag and drop is just easier. As far as the 3D modeling of players, I believe so. Just have to wait and see.

Re: 2K16 modding...

Some good stuff out already...the Charlotte court mod adds real arena name, signage and seems to reduce those ridiculous 'bobbleheads' in the crowd.

TD Garden mod really improves the Celtic's floorboards and adds real name.

A really good D Rose mod out also.

By Christmas, this thing will have mods everywhere and be simply drag and paste. Good times on the PC await

Re: 2K16 modding...

Pleased to report that new method works

So easy...i just switched between MVP D Rose and current D Rose by just dragging the iffs.

As simple as it was back in the 2K14 days

***really hope the future official patches do not cause any issues.

Re: 2K16 modding...

Copy the new file in the link above first...QUOTE from NLSC:
To use it, just drag the extracted contents of the archive into your 2K16 install folder. Then, to install mods, just put the modded iffs inside of the "Modded" folder with the original filename. Files that have the "shared/" prefix go inside the shared folder, and you delete the "shared/" portion of the iff filename. So that's it. No more imports (except for OGGs)".

Then simply copy the iffs into that 'modded' folder.

It is even easier than 2K14 imo.
