PC version NBA 2K15

I haven't either, but I don't see how Steamworks suggests which version the game would be based on. Either way, whether it is the old or new engine, any Steamworks usage would have to be added in more or less the same way.

Granted, it does seem strange to bother if they're only going to trot out a port of the same engine as 2K14 PC, but then again that's no stranger than staying on the old engine in general, considering it would practically be a death blow for the series on PC at this point and fairly redundant to even bother releasing it at all.

I'm curious about a SteamOS-Version (Linux-Version) of NBA 2k15. Since all 2k-Games till now have a steam-release. If I´m remember correctly, some 2k Games is going to be release on Linux. Or?
But a the moment I doubt it, that NBA 2k15 will get a Linux-Port now. Although, that the perfomance of games are much better on linux as windows, linux isn´t at the moment widley-used.


Anyway, I´m sure, that all the upcoming PC-Vesion of NBA 2k (2k16, 2k17,...) will have a Linux-Version.

From comparing Steam charts for NBA 2K14 with other games released on Steam which have sales figures behind them I'm guessing the game sold around 100 000 to 300 000 copies (very rough estimate).

No doubt porting the game over to PC would be profitable, but question is will 2K deem it profitable enough. The game sold more than 1.5 million on PS4 (around 0.9 mil) and Xbone (0.6 mil) in the first year those consoles were even out, with a conservative estimate that's 15 times more than the PC version (and the PC version is half priced).

Often big publishers leave money on the table if they don't think it can make a significant difference.

I can only hope they port the game to PC but as usual lack of communication from 2K usually means you should expect the worst.

The x86 architecture of both the PS4 and XBO would make it very simple to bring the current-gen version to PC. If it isn't brought over it's purely for business reasons.

If LD2k say, that PC users should watch the livestream, then it could be very important.
My gut feeling say, that we will get some information of modus or special-features and not about which graphic-port will it be.


BUT I really hope about the information which graphic-port will the PC-Version be: Xbone/PS4 or X360/PS3
