Official NBA 2K12 My Player Thread

Closing in on end of rookie season, my SF is avging 6 pts and 3 rebs. I have a tough time finding shots. I am avging 30% FG during simming, but around 50% when I play. I am closing in on 500 career points and 250 rebs.
I maxed Shoot in Traffic and got FT to 85. I will get Ball Security to around 85 and use dribble course to max it., then Consistency to around 90. Mainly because I have to find way to score. Then Defensive ratings, then Vertical, then Shot Med
Even though My SG and PF have same Dunk and Shoot in Traffic, I cant get my SG into the same positions as my PF. In my PFs 1st and 2nd season, I got most of his points from contact shots and pick and rolls. I think it is because my My Buzz grades are SO low. LPW and Local Pop is under 35. I will focus on getting my teammate grade up, so they will pass to me more.
The draft glitch wont be a problem this year, since we had one of the worst records due to alot of injuries. But, if we draft a SF or even a SG, I might ask for trade. I am hoping we draft a big man that is a defensive big who can get rebs. But, I have a feeling we will draft a backcourt player which isnt a need.
Since I am like 4-5 key games away from end of season and no playoffs and since I get no more than 25 mins a game, I will continue with my SF.

press shoot when off ball and if they have any remotely decent shot available theyll take it. especially useful for those open j's that they just stare at for 2 seconds before passing out of. alot of the advanced controls dont work in myplayer though which is just rubbish.

Yep, press shoot when ur teammate hold the ball. They may still not shoot but the potential that they will shoot is higher than u press nothing.Still didn't work for me most of the time.

Glitch, u cant be all-star starter at all. I'm in my 7th season and was vote as a starter every year. Sometime I got 2times more votes than any other players. the annocement said I'm a starter but when I enter the game, I will be downgraded to 12th man and get playing time like 5-10 minutes. Also, there are some other flaws too:

In the vote on one season for the West forward (note that Lebron and George did move to West in my MP) Anthony Randolph got #4 vote in west forward behind #1Lebron, #2Durant and #3 Griffin. He got more votes than Paul George (#5) for a wide margin before the annoucement but the West ended up announced George as all-star reserve while randolph didn't make it. Since the coach choose all-star reserve in real lfe, not by a vote, that may make sense. However, Lebron got #1 vote as forward and Durant got #2 so both of them should be starters. Somehow, when I enter the game, the starter turn to be Lebron and Griffin while in fact Durant and Lebron lead the voting for a VERY VERY huge margin and should be starters together.

Besides ur MP cant be all-star starter (and will always end up as 12th man), I think the game doesnt decide starters by vote at all (since the game start Lebron and Griffin together instead of Lebron and Durant who got #1 and #2 highest vote in forward's pool)

Moreover, you may randomly lose ur starting spot on ur original team after playing all-star game. (Another stupid glicth) If that happen, u need a save file before all-star game, reload before all-star game and sim pass the all-star game to avoid it.

Hey guys , ive played MP for a long time.. and i just update to the new patch yesterday.. and i read this " Your team’s GM will now do a better job of acquiring one of your recommended players when he comes to you asking for potential trade targets. Be careful what you ask for! "

I wonder how do u ask for player trades in My player ?

i think it is another glitch or 2k just forget to put that in the game and they daydreaming about sth that never exists in the game in the 1st place.

I have played with that update patch for a long time and im in my 7th season right now. Never once be asked to recommend any trade although my team has unbalance roster, weak bench and 6th man who overly eat up too much cap space (for more than 12m/y. Not worth at all) and i really want my gm to do sth.

I read on some forums that someone get email from 2k about how u recommend the trade. They response u can do that when u r superstar on the team with long-term contract enough so the option will appear. The option to ask is the same place that u request urself to be traded. Guess what? im 99 rating superstar who won everything and have 5years long term contract with the team. I stay with my current team for 4years now and i still didnt get this option. All my buzz also mostly at 100, all local, teammate, league wide. (Buzz may also randomly reset or lower by a huge number due to another stupid glitch)

i read many forums, searching clip from utube so many time and seems like not even one single person can find an option to recommend a trade. Everyone keep asking the same question with no answer. I conclude that this thing does not really exist in the game.

When you get to that game it will give you the option to play it or sim it, I just simmed past it.

Does anybody know if the Draft bug has been around since the game has been released or is this new? I am in my second season on the Bobcats but plan on leaving the team after my contract is up if we keep getting the 2nd pick every year.
