He won't be. Brevin Knight offiicially retired last year (announcing Bobcats games) and he's still in. Jacque Vaughn officially retired 3 days ago. 2K takes YEARS to remove players from the FA pool for whatever reason. They simply put very minimal effort into anything roster related.

The ONLY way I can see "time" being an issue is if they wanted to have accurate facial models for the players they were adding (but then, I'm sure the model they have for David Andersen isn't too far from what they'd give Greg Ostertag).

Besides, should we REALLY be expected to believe that 2K can afford the rights to all those Legends teams they've been throwing in the game for years but NOT immortals like Shandon Anderson?

Believe me, money/rights was NOT an issue. That's just the 2K spin machine making excuses for another subpar roster effort.
Fair enough. I guess neither of us know for sure. It looks like an agree to disagree situation.

Man, Brad Daugherty is somewhat underrated and Horace Grant (overall all versions) seems very underrated IMO.

What do you think Rashidi?

Horace Grant underrated?

He has an 80 in the 89-90 and 90-91 versions and a 82 in the 91-92 version.

How is that underrated?

Agreed, if you think Horace Grant is underrated... Man I don't know what to tell you. I mean Laimbeer is just a smidge higher (83) on the 1990 Pistons, and I would say they nailed Laimbeer in the rating department. You think Grant is higher? Pass it over man...

LeBron wasn't drafted to a team that had Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (and later James Worthy). Magic wasn't drafted to a team that had Darius Miles and Ricky Davis.

He IS underrated, but the reason's you gave weren't exactly legit. Deron Williams is rated 92 overall and Magic blows him away in just about every area of the game besides 3pt shooting (which he had finally added to his game, in 1990).
I agree with everything you said except the bolded. I'm not disagreeing with you that Magic is better than Deron Williams, aside from the fact that he blows him away in every category except 3pt shooting. Williams is quicker, more explosive, POSSIBLY better handles, and those categories are given much more weight to point guards which is why a 31-32 year old Magic has an equal rating to a 25-26 year old Williams.

I'd need to see Grant's ratings. Worth noting Grant does jump to 82 on the 92 team, as that was easily his best season. Not sure if he's worth an 80 on the 90 and 91 team though.

82 is probably okay for Daugherty too because 90 was actually the 2nd worst season of his career. He wasn't much of a shot blocker, which goes a long way towards overall rating.

@theworldisyours

the 1990-91 version and 1991-92 version overall seem underrated to what grant really was and contributed as a player. IMO in 1991 he was already an 82 (at least) and in 1992 he became and all around All-Star caliber player.
