Miles Bridges might have to be looked at to.
If Bridges keeps it up he will likely be most improved player this year. I mean guy has went from 13 being his highest PPG in first few years to now 26 and his FG% is also up. I dont really look at things like this so early in the season you will see some flukes in stats for both players and teams.

That's why I'm not crazy about the numbers. I'm more of look at the games kind of guy.

At this pace , Davon Mitchell defense has to be boosted into the low 90's. He's harassing vet scorer on a nightly basis.

As a general rule, since 2K underrates half the league, there won't be as many overrated players.
The players who've struggled most (or have the most diminished roles) out of the gate:

94/PG - Damian Lillard (POR): 19 PPG, 8 APG (37 FG%, 26 3PT%), 32 MPG

OVERRATED (Starter Division)

I agree with pretty much all of this. Great List! But you are definitely missing Anfernee Simons. He’s been killing it and Chauncey has even been putting him in same lineup after 2nd unit with both McCollum & lillard. He’s super aggressive in 2nd unit. Glad you have S. Bey on here as well he’s been impressive along with Bane. Again, solid list!

I think Harrison Barnes will give him a run for his money. He hasn't gotten much buzz because he's been around longer. Statistically, he and Bridges are both coming from comparable places & role changes.

A lot of Bridges game directly benefits from the presence of LaMelo Ball. Specifically, Bridges was 100th percentile in Transition efficiency last I checked. He's the wide receiver on the team (this means his numbers will slip if Ball ever has to miss time). Whereas w/ Barnes, I'm inclined to believe his numbers will be stickier. He isn't as reliant on a specific teammate, and his team likely has greater depth to handle injuries.

I think there's a perception that Barnes has already been good because he put up 20 PPG one year w/ DAL (five years ago), but it's his shooting percentages that are the biggest difference this season.

Julius Randle was a 20 PPG scorer the year before he was MIP. The voters don't seem to really carry the same criteria. Some of the worst "MIPs" were given to role players that found themselves in a fluke starting role (Aaron Brooks & Ryan Anderson the most recent examples, 10 years ago already). They primarily seem to be looking at players who truly establish themselves as "Stars", so whoever is shining brightest by the end of the year is the likely favorite.
