Yes, Westbrook is not much different from Love on the break. Not even getting into all the other issues in the clip, their speed isn't much different. In this clip, we see Love keeping up with Westbrook on the break. Westbrook is ever so slightly faster, but not by nearly as much as in real life. Not only that, but he's barely outpacing Lebron, who's doing a leisurely backwards trot.

In the second clip, Love is running the break, and gets down the floor before Lebron does, and at the same speed as JR and Roberson. And the time it took him to get to the free throw line from where he started was almost the exact same amount of time as Westbrook in the first clip.

There are a myriad of other problems in these two clips from an AI and general movement perspective, but I want to keep this focused just on the speed of the players.

Didn’t say their wasn’t break, I said breaks are unrealistic and player/ball speed is slow and glitchy.

WHAT IS THIS CHEESE?!?!?!?!

I swear the speed and acceleration ratings mean nothing in 2K18, and once you step onto the Pro Am court, all of the athleticism stats get equalized."
I've still got that clip saved:

2KLab also did a good test this year showing how small the on-court separation is whenever there are differences in player speed/acceleration ratings:

Gross, and any speed difference there is can be negated by the hip riding animation that big men do in the open court to keep up with much faster players.

2k has done a terrible job of displaying speed, everyone seems like they're stuck in mud.
