in 2k17, can you rebound/tip in/put back dunk with the RS again?

this feature was cut in 2k16, but i loved this feature in 2k15 as i'm paralyzed and RS putbacks are easier on my hands.

I hope to GOD that the stupid algorithm of 'your player(s) have a random chance to be hot or cold at the beginning of the game, so it's up to you, the user, to figure out who will be the hot hand this game' is completely gone this year. If a player goes hot or cold should SOLELY be dependent on the user's play and decisions, not some goofy random algorithm that chooses for them.

Hey Mike I have one last question if you still check in on this thread....has there been any change to the effectiveness of the AI using the "ICE" mechanic in pick and roll situations. I ask because in 16 there were situations of the AI defender warping into a position to ICE even if they were far out of position at the time of the screen. This caused a lot of bumping that then forced the pickup dribble animation. I do CPU v CPU games so it was very noticeable for me. Just wondering. Thanks in advance for any response.

And i know this isnt a wishlist/request thread but Also there should be a "Transition Starter" toggle in the player edit screen akin to the "Play Initiator" one. This should help simulate bigs who grab boards and go but dont receive the inbound after scores.

I'm just guessing, but if this year is like last year, we'll get a blog from Scott O'Gallagher on defense and defensive AI that will over Ice and lots of other defensive system updates. I would imagine some time this week.

This and a Czar blog - if they happen this week will be the best part for me. More so than Prelude (personal preference).

I hope the forced hesitation/stutter step animation after competing a dribble move is removed.

I can do a basic cross over and shake my defender and as I attack the open floor I'm forced into a hesitation I didn't attempt.

Also passing under the basket needs some looking into.. The ball is always hitting the backboard by a bad animation on a pass from under the rim to the corner.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, Mike, but can you confirm Steve Nash no longer being in the game for the Classic SUns and Mavs?

This would be a crushing blow to all us retro 2k ballers.

So if you beat your defender and have a wide open lane or are finishing off a fastbreak layup with no one around, you’re not going to brick the shot even if you completely ignore the timing feature. You still have to take good shots with the right guys to be successful.
All this means is that you don't have to get perfect timing on lay ups to actually make them.

You'll still miss wide open shots. Just as players in the real NBA do every single game.
