Davis and Stilson are terrible lol. I don't know who's in OSFM but take Conner Greene or something.

I'd love to have Greene--he's probably my favorite prospect in the entire Toronto system-- but I'm surprised you think the Jays would pay that for Cashner after saying Reid-Foley was unlikely to be moved for that level of pitcher. Some sources have (or had in preseason) Greene being the higher rated (some have him as #1 in the Jays system or just behind Alford) out of him and Reid-Foley. MLB has Greene #2 behind Alford. The BA midseason Top 100 has Reid-Foley at #84 and Greene at #90. Reid-Foley is crushing A+ in real life and Greene has just been ok at A+/AA. I'll have to consider that. I'd much rather get Greene than D.J. Davis + Stilson from a value standpoint. In fact, if Davis + Stilson were the best return I could get, I'd have to entertain hanging onto Cashner and QO'ing him for the draft pick.

Maybe I can do something like Cashner + Quackenbush/pen arm for Greene + small piece (like Stilson or Davis). Cecil is out for awhile so I think adding a pen arm going along with Cashner would be a good fit.

And it might be taking "realism" a bit far, but Conner Greene being a model and actor on the side would fit well in SoCal after life in baseball, lol. No, I'm serious. And, yes, I spend far too much time thinking about these details.

I know irl > all so don't shoot me for asking this, but how is Greene developing in your franchise? I would think if Greene is slowing down/hitting a bump in his development, perhaps he wouldn't be thought of so highly.

Basically, is his trajectory in your franchise like it is in the real game?

WTNY - I think I dealt Foley, Davis and Another C prospect for Cashner, Norris in my last franchise thanks to the help here.

This is pretty outdated/inaccurate. Greene's last 125 innings have had FIPs over 4.

Re: MLB 16 Trade Discussion Thread

Cubs and Yankees have agreed to a deal that will send closer Chapman to Chicago for minor league infielder Gleyber Torres, minor league outfielder Billy McKinney, pitcher Adam Warren and another player.

Looks to me to be a good trade for both sides. Cubs get a legitimate closer and much needed BP help. Yanks get a couple good spects in McKinney and Torres while getting Warren back. Basically a Chapman for Castro, Torres and McKinney trade in the end. Now time to go put this through for the cubs team I run on the show

I usually don't do real life trades in my season as I see it as a different season in existence. That is just me

Cubs are one of the six teams I use in my GM. So this is a trade I'd love to do. Torres and McKinney wouldn't see the field being blocked by better players while I finally get a dominant closer
