MLB The Show 24 Negro Leagues Edition Announced - Early Access Begins March 15

After 22, SDS lost my pre ordering. Last year I didn't pre order and only decided to buy the game after the franchise stream and then bought the disc version from target on day 1.

I will hear what they have to say about the franchise changes before I decide to pull the trigger this year. And I won't pre order. If I buy, I will buy the disc copy on day 1 so I am cool with the disc version being only on the standard. But, SDS will have to wow me this year to get me to buy the game. They need to show a clear vision for the future of the series and it will take expanded rosters and by extension the draft to get me to buy day 1. If that doesn't happen, and I don't think it will, I will need to be wowed otherwise or it will be a deep discount purchase later in the year.

I have not been too thrilled with the execution of their vision for this game the last few years.

But I will give SDS the chance to show me what they have done before jumping to conclusions.

Bought the game every year and barely played it every year the entire PS4 era honestly. I used to play the hell out of this game on PS3. The game coming to Gamepass this era is nice, because I can play it for a little while, get through about a month of games, get bored with it, and move on without guilt. This game sorely needs something to make franchise mode more interesting. OOTP is 1000x more interesting than this game to me because of the level of roster management and interesting storylines that develop. I just wish they could somehow marry the two, with the shows gameplay, but OOTPs management depth.

For those who really want a physical disc and the steelbook case, just wait a few months. BestBuy always sells extra steelbook cases for games at $10 and if that doesn't work, buy the disc version of the game this time next year for $10.

Pre-ordered the digital deluxe on PS5. Can’t wait. The Show is the only game I play consistently all year and I can’t wait for 24 as with every other year.

Ive thought about it, going without a disc this year I guess… I cant go without early access.

My question, Im going MVP Edition… Does PS Store charge right away for purchases? Or do they wait until actual release date to charge?

So $55 for a book and hat and a few stubs and early access.
