Baez is not exactly blocked unless they continue to develop him at SS, as 3B is wide open in Chicago for Baez. Lindor, impressive glove, maybe some work to do on hitting. Boggarts, nice power, might end up at third. Out of the three, I would say Baez has the most potential, even though I am a biased Cubs fan.

IDK if Detroit has the prospects to trade for a great SS without giving up a key piece to their team.

Funny how you responded after I just spent over an hour reading a long thread comparing Baez and Castellanos weighing heavily from a Cubs fans point of few....even as a Tigers fan I have to admit that they were pretty accurate with info tho as I wouldn't trade Baez straight up for Cast either....so as a Cubs fan, what else would I have to give you for you to consider?

(And I did say potentially blocked....I don't follow him too closely but do understand he is pretty smooth glove so figured he could adapt to a move well)

Which key part of my team are you referring to....lol. I know I don't have the prospects, I also know I don't "want" to give up a key piece. Thats why I need an outside perspective to keep me "honest".

I don't think I'd make a move as Detroit in season 1. Peralta is more then serviceable. He's certainly not the worst starting SS in the league. He'll hit around 7-10 HR's, and be a solid hitter. Not the greatest defensively, but he'll stop most balls coming his way.

Sometimes this is what it takes.....I battled with the voice in my head for a while now and finally blocked that voice out, then you step up and make the same logical suggestions the voice was making.
