Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Question for you guys... I play as the Cardinals and am about 1/2 through the first month and in spring training I traded for Tulowitzki and my rotation is depleted along with my minors to get him. I also took over a huge salary that comes along with him. My salary has about 700k left, I was looking to get rid of Holliday and/or Beltran to clear a ton of money. I would net about 25-30 million if I traded those guys away. Question for you guys is: Do you guys trade for guys early in spring training or before? Or do you guys play with what you have at the start and add pieces later towards the deadline? Or like me, revamp the team 1/2 way through the first month of the season to get younger and have more money for free agents and other players I may need later? Haven't done that yet but close to doing it, think its too early too do that? More like 3 questions lol.

Well, here in New England, all you hear of is Bogaerts' upside and potential. Someone even said he could put up A-Rod numbers without the roids. I say at his peak, he will give average numbers of .300/30HRs/100RBIs
I was backreading and saw this post and thought to myself...."Honestly, I bet there are a lot of hitting prospects that can put up A-Rod numbers without the roids. I never did follow him much but can't imagine he is hitting much more than .270/15-20/50-60 without the roids."

Jk....lol....didn't mean to bring back up a dead conversation but couldn't resist.

Concerned more with fairness than realistic

What more would I need to add for a Alcides Escobar+ for Zack Cozart trade?

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

My Cubs currently sit out of the playoff hunt (surprise surprise) and its time to trade. Right after the all star break I traded Marmol (1.62 ERA, 20 saves, nothing like real Marmol sadly) along with Ian Stewart and to the Dodgers for Dee Gordon. The dodgers bullpen, besides Jansen was struggling along with their 3B spot.

So back to Garza. I want to trade him along with Gordon (even if I did just get him). Teams that would be interested given current situation:

Twins (More so Gordon than Garza)
Tigers (Both)
Orioles
Yankees

Any realistic/fair ideas, suggestions?

You could probably get Drew Smyly and another lower ranked prospect back for the both of them
