Then not sure who you still have on your team but just trade some of your top prospects or good prospects to try and win it.
Boy, with Ubaldo on our staff I don't know how we could lose lol. Our staff would then be: Greinke, Jimenez, Gallardo, Marcum, and Wolf. But that might be a stretch seeing as the Rockies are in first place and we would probably have to give up more than it is worth.

I have offered many different trades to the A's for Rich Harden seeing as they are in last place I thought they would be more than willing to get some prospects for him. I offered up our best two pitchers, one A potential and one B, to go along with Gomez in one offer. And the other offer had Narveson as the 3rd player. Plus, both times the bar was completely full.

Completely forgot about Hudson as well, but I am pretty sure the DBacks are in contention in the NL West so I don't think they would really be willing to give him up.

I would maybe try to go after a Cubs pitcher but the whole NL Central is within a game right now. We are now 51-50 and 1.0 game back, but, we are in third place seeing as the Cardinals are in first, then the Pirates, us, Reds, and Chicago all one game back. It is really close and that is why we are in need of one more pitcher to get things done on our staff. Any other suggestions welcome.

Oh btw we have everyone in our system except Prince who I traded away just before the All-Star break.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Is it just me or have other people been experiencing with an error in the trading system?

In my 2nd year with the Twins I can't even trade for the worst player on every team. I tried playing around with it and all Teams reject my trade. I offered Mauer, Cano, and Liriano for the worst player on every team and every team said no!....wtf?

(I'm not really trying to trade mauer, cano, and Liriano) I just have other players i want to trade for a good quality pitcher but It's impossible. I was wondering if any other of you guys have/are experienced this?

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

I'm doing a 30-team franchise where I control all teams without any preference given to anyone in particular. Currently, the season is at June 26and there are some definite surprises, most notably the 45-31 Nationals squad and 41-37 Astros (winners of 7 straight). I am very carefully about keeping trades and roster moves as fair as possible, so as not to shortchange any team. Proper credence is lent to budgets and payrolls and I refer to the prospect rankings of Baseball America and others to judge value. I also use real-life contracts as a basis

So far, here are the trades of note in the last few weeks:

MIN OF Denard Span
ATL SP J.J. Hoover, C Christian Bethancourt, and OF Matt Young

SF OF Aaron Rowand
LAA IF Alexi Amarista

STL OF Jon Jay
KC SS/3B Mike Aviles
-For some reason, Ryan Theriot is having a horrific year, hitting .173 in full-time duty; KC is almost ready to bring up Moustakas and Jay was not getting enough at-bats in STL)

ATL SP/RP Kris Medlen
LAD IF Jamey Carroll
-The Braves desperately need a leadoff/contact hitter and are getting nothing out of Alex Gonzalez. Medlen has major league quality stuff but is a victim of a number's crunch. Dee Gordon is playing very well for the Dodgers but they are 31-44 and 13 games back of the Giants and Rockies. Possible fire sale coming before the deadline. At the time of the trade four days ago, Carroll was hitting .287 with a .353 OBP).

BOS SS Jed Lowrie
PHI (Can't remember, but I believe a pair of "B" pitching prospects. Not Cosart, Colvin, or Todd).
-Jimmy Rollins is having a horrible year hitting .220. Lowrie had fallen behind all-star Marco Scutaro, and with 21 year-old phenom Jose Iglesias tearing up AAA, this was an inevitable move.

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Hey guys just got the game today, loved last years game and looking forward to getting into this one! I started my Giants franchise today and am looking for a left fielder and a short stop, I could get Werth for Tejada and Burrell I think, but then I have a whole at short stop. So I was wondering do I wait a few months for teams to sort them selves out, or are there any moves I can make at the start of the season?

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, I'm not really desperate but I do need another outfielder and Tejada isn't getting any younger!

Re: **All Trades Discussion Thread** 2011 Edition

Hey guys this is more of a 2010 edition but I really wanted to ask what I should do:

I'm the Brewers in 2010 and have already made a few trades throughout the year:

Brought in Ellsbury and Lackey from the Red Sox for Capuano, a MLB ready A prospect, and Chris Dickerson.

Traded a few prospects to the Angels for Fernando Rodney (they traded for Rafael Soriano so he was left as a mid reliever).

I'm currently at the AllStar break and am looking to make 2 more trades. I just tested a deal where I send Joe Inglett (ultimate utility player with high contact batting just over .300) for Jack Cust (I need a power bat from the left side on my bench) and some F potential catcher.

I also want to make a run at a top of the rotation starter but dont know who to trade or who to look for. I'm looking to trade away a few A prospects and most likely Randy Wolf or Mark Defilice. Was thinking of pulling the trigger on a Grienke deal (seeing as the Royals have the worst record in baseball) but they wanted my top 3 prospects in my already fairly weak farm system.

Anyways I just want to know if you guys think I've already made enough trades? I want to keep this thing realistic but there we some holes I want to fill as well. My other trades were need based (lackey to bolster a week 5, ellsbury because my team was dead last in stolen bases, and Rodney because I had no dominant closer). Plus any feedback for the last two would be much appreciated.
