A 3-run walk-off HR by Jason Giambi with 2 outs in the 9th inning last week in my Rockies franchise against the D-Backs, using Knight's V4 rosters. Yanked it down the RF line @ Coors, just inside the foul pole into the second deck.

Re: What has made you jump up out of your seat?

Just happened right now. I'm the Dodgers in (the dreaded year) 2013. Going into the last three game series of the season and we're up by one game in the NL West against our opponents, the Giants.

I usually only play every six games so this series was supposed to be simmed through. I simmed game one and won then played game two because it was a showdown between the two best ERAs in the NL: Kershaw/Lincecum. I ended up losing that game then simming the last one. We lose. Los Angeles and San Francisco are tied for first place in the NL West with a record of 88 wins and 74 losses.

One more extra game between the Dodgers and the Giants to decide the NL West representative in the 2013 playoffs. Pitcher's duel once again, 1-1 going into the 8th inning. Top of the eighth, two outs, a Giant on first. Nate Schierholtz hits a liner to center. Realizing this ball is about to drop in front of NL 2013 Silver Slugger winner Matt Kemp, out of desperation, I flick down on the RS. As I did, I thought to myself, "What did you just do? What the hell were you thinking?" I wasn't thinking. I was acting. And before I could even finish my last thought, the ball disappears. Kemp rolls over and holds his glove up, revealing what I thought to be the go ahead RBI ball, the crowd roars. My first diving catch in The Show and it came in dramatic fashion. The ultimate risk/reward gut-feeling reaction pays off in the most important game of the season.

Fast forward to the bottom of the 9th. Eighth inning hero, Matt Kemp steps up and blasts one into left. It comes up just short of the wall for the first out. Next up is underachieving Adam Dunn (who the Nats traded to me in 2010). Only 27 HRs for the clean up hitter this season with a sub .250 batting avg. But this is the post season and Dunn made it clear he wasn't ready to go home. Slider right over the plate is sent way into right and into the visiting bullpen as if it were a consolation parting gift from the Dodgers for sending the Giants back to the bay for a rather uneventful October. Walk off HR for the NL West.

When the camera cut to the angle behind Dunn as he watched that slider send them to the playoffs, I erupted out of my seat. Smiles and fist pumps all around (by myself). The Dodgers are going to the playoffs for the 4th consecutive year despite the doubts after Manny's retirement.

This was one of the best feelings this game has given me. It's second only to the amazing 7 game 2010 NLCS vs the (now dreaded) Milwaukee Brewers, which I lost on a bonehead mistake. Hopefully both of these moments will be surpassed by the end of this season as I have yet to win a World Series despite being in the playoffs the last four years.
