The daytime lighting looks really subtle, which is ok if it's summertime. It'll be interesting to see if the time of year has an effect on the day games, with longer shadows in september at 3-4pm than in june.

Also the jerseys look better (even on the small screen) against the backdrops. Hard to describe but last year the jerseys seemed kind of mushy looking.

Overall it's great to get the information and thanks for posting the vids!

Well if you think about it, it should be subtle if the sun is right above you. The angles won't be as accented as they are when the sun is going down, simply because of the position of it... so they won't move as much.

Well said. Yes, it is subtle but it's nice and adds to the overall look. And it just looks more real because the daytime games look brighter now. At least they do to me.

blzr is right, when the stadium is wide open above as these two have been, the only shadow movement you should see are the players' shadows themselves. The only time structural shadows should come into play is when its afternoon shifting to evening or in a staduim with a retractable roof...I also recal Russell saying something about cloud shadows moving across the field. I also noticed a different lighting on the clouds in the sky as the day progressed...awesome!

Yep, I think it looks very real too. The way they move. I really love the lighting.

There appears to be more depth and separation now with the new lighting. The ball hit over the LFers head I saw noticeable distance between the fielder and the wall. Loved the tag by the catcher at home and the foul ball off the foot.

You know it will be close to perfect or esle they would not add it yet. That is what I love about this team. You can tell they have a plan and they are so good at sticking to that plan and making some amazing games. I am excited The Show11 too.

Also the way the outfielders throw the ball after a base hit looks very nice.
