Is there a way to release players into the Free Agency pool without replacing them with another player?

I'm trying to release Manny Ramirez; I've already dropped all of his ratings, but for the life of me I can't figure how to just drop him from TB's roster.

Any help would be much appreciated.
You have to go to Roster Control then Player Movement and trade Manny to Free Agency.

I am going to over-wright him with a created player, cause he is retired.

I already put all his stats down to zero in mine and have all the retired players in Free Agents 3 (all zero ratings of course)

Final version of this - many changes to make it so much easier!

1. sorted first by team as it is sorted in the game (ie baltimore, boston, etc)
2. then sorted by player position as it is in the game (SP, RP, CP, C, etc)
3. Disabled players are at the end in red with their DL # next to them (15, 60)

You literally just hit R2 to change team, R1 to change position, repeat.
Thanks again for posting this list. I was wondering if maybe I did something wrong though. After adding back every single one of the players for each team, there were a couple instances when it told me the 40 man roster was already full even though I still had a couple people from your list to add.

After doing this, I also noticed there were a few of the "injured" players not at the MLB level and still in Single A from Owl's roster set. I added them to the 40 and moved them to MLB. I then placed the proper ones on the DL.

Once I started a couple games, there was an automated message that nearly every team had gone over their max limit of players/roster size. I auto-fixed them all out of frustration and imagine that almost every lineup is all messed up again.

Luckily I still have the master save file before I did any of the injury stuff. Any tips???

I think what's happening is one of two things.
60 day DL players don't count towards the 40 man....if you added everyone..you'd go over the 40 when he came back.(IRL....teams are over 40 due to this...I had to pick some guys to leave off on my own)
The second is like above...except too many guys at the MLB level due to DL'ed guys coming back and getting put on the MLB.
Same as above.
If you AUTO-FIX anything....it will fix it alright.
