Started a franchise up. I have home field advantage turned off. Yet it still is there and still kicks in.

Played a quick game last night on All Pro, Chargers vs Colts. Main thing that caught my eye was that I would flush Anthony Richardson out of the pocket but he would not take off and run in the open field. At least 3x he scrambled out towards the sideline and appeared to take off, but threw away at the last second. There was one instance where he did take off and run for a big gain.

Played my 1st game and was super underwhelmed. Realized at halftime this can't be next gen, but finished the game.... found out it wasn't next gen. Lol. Downloaded the correct EA Trial and restarted. Day and night difference in franchise mode and gameplay. Played week 1 Falcons vs Panthers as the Falcons.
Lost 31-21 in a back and forth barnburner.
Bryce Young went 21/28 with 3 TD's and 318 yards, includ8ng an 8 yard pass to DJ Chark for his 1st career TD pass. Ridder came back in his 1st drive and through an INT in the end zone to Von Bell..... Quickly calmed down to go 12/22 224 yards 3 TD's and that lone INT.
I had Bijan and Patterson splitting carries up until the 4th quarter when Cordarelle tore his quad. Then it was the Bijan Robinson show. Bijan 13 carries for 52 yards, Patterson 6/32.
Patterson felt quicker and more agile while Bijan was agile but broke more tackles. It was a fun thunder and lightning combo and to feel the difference was rewarding.
As for Carolina. Miles Sanders crushed us. 13 for 35 yards, 1 TD but 4 catches for 75 yards and 2 TD's.
Atlanta had 2 big plays in the air. One a 79 yard TD to Cordarelle Patterson on blown coverage and another 63 yarder by Kyle Pitts who got open when the LB fell down. Although Hurst and Thielen didn't score they helped move the ball. Hurst 7 for 133 and Thielen 6 for 96.
The Atlanta defense didn't play bad and got 3, three and outs to end the 1st half but the big play kept happening to cause problems and erase strong defenses that had Bryce in 3rd and long multiple times.

Anyways yea, much better experience after I realized my error of downloading the wrong trial. Excited to get to week 2 tonight after I get the kid to bed and the fiance falls asleep lol

Alright 3 games in. Slow week at work. I'm going to save the next few hours of the trial for my kid.

Here are a few more impressions before the game drops and prob a day 1 patch:

• I like the new models a lot. They have a good movement to them. Sapien looks good. It's subtle but good.
  
  On AP default, the CPU has been varying the game plan accordingly. In my first game, I was all over Kyler Murray but in the 2nd half; they really changed things up. Stopped running the ball and passed the heck out of me.
  
  Every interception I have thrown was my fault and did not look cheap.
  
  Fumbles look good. The fight for the ball looks good.
  
  QB pocket play is good. I sent a CB blitz at Russell Wilson, he stepped away from it, spun around, and took off for a 15 yrd TD. Was nice to see.
  
  Love the new pass-catching animations. It's not just the DB blasting the WR. They knock it out, and push the WR along with the other hits. Just looks good.
  
  HFA doesn't feel as overpowered this year. Ex. if the CPU has a buff, it is not as OP or as long.
  
  The refs are there, I just don't notice them.
  
  The injuries seem Ok. You see a few. Kept them at default.
  
  Penalties need work. Not going to beat this dead horse but I wish they were more of them.
  
  The playbooks are better but I guess they didn't affect me the way that EA stated.
  
  I feel that the audio and performance needs tuning. M24 is not as smooth as it needs to be. Audio seems off as well.
  
  

Overall, EA seems to have done a good job this year day 1. I am sure there are some bugs but i like the way it plays day 1.

Might be a prisoner of the moment but it's the best gameplay Madden for me in a long, long time. New player movement and models are a game changer. The run game is the best it has felt in any football game ever.
