Holy man I suck, like ridiculously suck. The 18 mph wind didn't help though. I got through 2 rounds courses so far.

I usually don't get much gaming in other than 10PM-12AM Pacific and the wind for the first course was 17-19MPH. It is next to impossible to go low under those conditions.
The wind changes each day.

It would be nice to know how the wind is actually programmed to change. As it stands now it is a highly unfair tournament system that rewards people that are lucky to tee off when it is calm or low winds.

It is only a game but IRL the field is not that subject to chance. If the wind blows hard the majority of the field endure it. Usually only the very early tee times are immune.

There is an algorithm that determines the speed of the wind that is based off the time of day. It is random from day to day but is always the same for everyone if you play at the exact same time.

There is a thread over on HB forums that goes into the details. I'll link to it when I get some time to track it down.

Damn it! I was so excited to start this. Got an error code on the 5th hole and can't advance past it. Any suggestions?

Thanks Doyley , I read a bit of that thread awhile back. Have not seen any recent posts though.

Aside from one great round, I think it was -12 (my lowest score ever) on the second course, my other scores weren't that great.

Speaking from the PC side...I've played a tournament over there, and believe me there are guys shooting -12 consistantly. (And it's not just one or two guys either). There are guys shooting -22 to -24 after two rounds...mine was after six rounds(?).

If I make the Web.com tour, that just means I'll have guys that I can compete on my level, I'm cool with that. I already know I won't be able to compete for a win on the regular tour.

Re: TGC Tours (www.tgctours.com)

interesting...is the game "easier" on PC? I'm playing on PS4.

and as long as there is parity, I'm with you. competition amongst equal skill levels will be a fun thing to have with the TGC Tour competition
