McIntosh sits out Eagles game with abdominal tear

LANDOVER, M.D--

A major contributor in the Redskins defense is out for the most important game of the year.

Outside linebacker Rocky McIntosh suffered at abdominal tear during last Saturdays loss to the Dolphins. He left the game early in the 2nd quarter. Team doctors have announced that he will only sit out this Sundays game against the Eagles & should be ready in time for the season finalie against Carolina.

Just started following this. Looks good. Tbh, after reading this I put Madden in and started a rebuilding project with the Redskins as well.

Thanks man. Yea, rebuilding this team has been pretty fun so far. Especially turning the offense into a top 5 power in less than one season. Running game still not how I want it to be tho as well as the defense. Good luck on your franchise.

Yeah I ended up drafting Blaine Gabbert and then Roy Helu for my RB. My WR's are having some major drop problems right now though. I'm 1-1 currently. Thanks! Can't wait for more updates!

2011 Season Week 16

EAGLES SNOWBALLED AS 'SKINS CLINCH FIRST NFC EAST CROWN IN 12 YEARS

The winter wonderland of Landover, Maryland served as the perfect backdrop for a game which showed the fruits of the Redskins labor for 2011. The perfect Christmas gift finally happened for the Redskins faithful. Behind Cam Newton’s 4 touchdowns & record breaking performance, the Redskins won their first division title in 12 years 41-17. It’s Washington’s first 10 win season since 2005. Newton broke Redskins single season records for touchdown passes, yards, & attempts .

The game didn’t start too well for the ‘Skins, who looked like they were still shell shocked from the devastating loss to Miami last week. After giving up a field goal, Newton threw his only interception of the game. Eagles corner Asante Samuel returned it 58 yards for a pick-six. From there on Newton got red hot with the deep pass. In the 2nd quarter Andrew Luck & himself traded TD passes, Luck’s would be the Eagles final score of the game. Luck would get beat up the rest of the game with a devastating ‘Skins pass rush. He would be sacked 7 times, twice by third year cornerback Kevin Barnes. Meanwhile Cam Newton continued with a thrilling performance, willing Washington back to tie the game at 17 coming into halftime.

Washington continued the offense onslaught in the second half. The 49 yard bomb to Malcolm Kelly for his third TD pass of the day broke the Redskins single season franchise record for passing yards with 4128. In the 4th quarter after his 4th TD pass Newton was taken out the game. Larry Johnson (who scored a TD earlier) controlled the rest of the game by milking the clock. Andrew Luck had the ball in the final seconds by the exclamation point was made with DeAngelo Hall picking him off in the final play to clinch the division title. At 10-5, & losses by the Vikings & Cardinals earlier, the ’Skins currently have the best record in the NFC. A win over Carolina next Sunday clinches home field advantage through out the playoffs. The Redskins improbable turnaround, lead by arguably the best rookie season by a quarterback in NFL history, is looking to be something special.

Re: Getback: The Redskins Dynasty

Nice win. So Devin needs 182 more receiving yards in this last game to break Jerry's single season receiving yard record?
