Re: Contracts/ Salary Cap now supported!

I have said it before and I'll say it again.....

You are a GOD Finn.

I downloaded your editor last night (version .320), edited some players salaries (Colts and Eagles) and started a franchise. I edited the league salary cap to $110m. Every team now has like $30m in cap room. That's going to have to be fixed. I simulated the season with the 2006 schedule in it and the off-season. There were no lock up issues or freezing of any kind. I didnt play any actual games though. I went into the Draft itself and simulated it. I didnt have any problems.

I'm going to be working on a contract setup based on player rating, position and years pro. I personally like to use "balanced" contracts. I'll post it sometime next week hopefully.

As for the 2006 schedule, two games from week 10 (GB/MIN and BAL/TEN) were moved to the weeks in which those teams had their other bye weeks. Week 10 is now their bye weeks. This was done because the game is programmed for only 14 games from week 3 to week 10. Not doing this resulted in two missed games and double bye weeks. Everything is fixed now though and that included the 10pm MNF doubleheader that kicks off the season.

I want to say thanks Finn for including my schedule in your editor. It makes it easier for those who want to use it. And thanks for the "salary cap management" feature.

Speaking of the league salary cap, does anyone know what the actual amount is? I read it several times in March and April but forgot what it was.

And Finn, any luck with being able to edit the names and appearance of Head Coaches?

Thanks Finn.

You are the MAN!

I think it is time for me to repurchase that XBox. I really regret selling my XBox to get the 360. The 360 may be a great sports console eventually, but right now, there is now advantage over the PS2 and XBox other than the graphics.

As soon as I realized that NFL 2k5 was not BC, I re-bought an xbox after I sold it to get the 360. I had a feeling madden wouldn't do it for me and I can't live without a football game.
