I think it's the unshaven look that makes it look like it's a random lazy fat guy throwing on a suit. I know others are saying it gives off the impression that he's older... I know he's older, but he can shave when he dons the cape and cowl. At least, that's how I see it.

Somebody Photoshop him with a clean face, and see if that changes the look at all.

EDIT: I take that back, it has something more to do with his right eye in the shot. Cover his left eye, then his right. You'll see what I mean that the stare looks different depending on which eye it is.

And I don't see the fat comments either. Ben is just huge, which is how Batman is supposed to be. Look at how he's portrayed in The Dark Knight Returns book/movie. This is about as close as you could get to that.

I didn't say he is fat, I said the image seems like the portrayal of somebody coming off the couch slapping on the costume for a photo shoot. It either has to do with his right eye or the unshaven look, or a combination of both. Maybe I'm too used to an all-black armored suit as well, but he looked fine in the trailer. I'm not saying he'll be a bad Batman or anything like that, I just said it's a weird picture and I probably wish he was shaven clean. You don't have to give the impression you are older by not shaving.

And the renderings have a way different, inhuman body structure. There's no way that Affleck or anybody else could mold themselves to look like that.
