Mary Tyler Moore was a pioneer in the TV world, first on the Dick Van Dike(can't spell actual spelling on OS) Show and then the Mary Tyler Moore show.

Later on in life, she championed the rights of animals and became a spokeperson on diabetes.

RIP MTM.

She was a talent. The network was against her wearing Capri pants on the DVD Show, but they relented so long as they weren't too tight.

She was the biggest contributor to one of the funniest episodes in TV history (Chuckles Bites the Dust, Mary Tyler Moore Show).

Great performance in Ordinary People which earned her an Oscar nom.

RIP Mary.

Not many times a true talent can say they were in 2, let alone 1 successful TV shows, but to be a true pioneer at the same time is quite a feat. She was terrific in Ordinary People as well. Gorgeous too.

CBS will air a one hour special tribute tomorrow night, Mary Tyler Moore: Love Is All Around, hosted by Gayle King.

A titan in every sense. When I was a kid and saw reruns of the DVD show I always thought she and Van **** were actually married!

Easy mistake-they just seemed to go together-great chemistry.

They did admit in a interview with Larry King they did get together for some hanky-panky a few times.
