The Dark Knight.


Heath Ledger was great. Christian Bale was ok. I didn't like Maggie Gyllenhaal.

I enjoyed the movie, but it didn't live it up to the hype for me.

However, its characters are very much like the characters of a comic book, with the clear-cut "good" and "bad" guys. The movie has very little depth, and how it won Best Picture I will never know. I could spend all day listing overrated films, but I'll spare myself the time.

Wait a second, you said it was overrated and now your claiming its the greatest movie ever? Are you changing your mind or did I read your initial posting incorrectly?

On a side note, this thread really shows that its different strokes for different folks as some of the movies listed as overrated are awesome movies imo and dont deserve to be rated as such.

just remembered Million Dollar Baby. Maybe I need to watch it again, but I thought it was really dull. Anyone else agree on Lost in Translation???

Add Pineapple Express. So many people told me how great it was... and wow. I laughed twice i think. I THINK. Im a huge fan of the whole recent rated R comedies that have been made (40 yr old virgin, knocked up, Forgetting Sara marshall, Step Brothers, so on and so forth), but this one did nothing for me at all

dont get me wrong, it was a very good movie, but it wasnt "great" imo...and im a huge Scorsese fan.
