Are we still talking about Ledger?

imo, if there is a 3rd film, they will probably have the Joker locked up in Arkham (like he was in many of the comics). They will probably refer to him in the next movie, but I doubt they cast for the Joker imo.

Yeah, I don't see Nolan recasting The Joker in Batman 3 and really I don't see the next villain as being as prominent as The Joker was TDK either. Now, who would you guys want to play the Joker if Zack Synder actually does do TDKR?

I could just see Mickey Rourke as an old bruce wayne in a TDK movie.

Personally I thought the frank miller TDKR story sucked balls. It was like in this weird tim burton/robocop future setting.

The only thing great about the story was batman killing superman. Cause superman is the lamest of all super hero's.

Guy Pearce is the next Riddler. Nolan has stated before he wants to work with him again since Memento but is waiting to have the right role for him. The Riddler is it.

honestly, i just can't see it. again, i love depp... pretty much everything he's done. i just don't see him being right for any role in these batman movies. he's not very realistic in any of his roles that don't cast him in a more serious role. he would've been good in the older batman movies but too over the top for any role in a 3rd one of this series. I think Carey could tone it down enough to deserve another shot at the riddler but not enough to be a good joker, for the same reason as depp.

I don't know why but I get a good vibe that James Franco would would make a pretty good Joker
