Cool, good idea qb! Hopefully they could do something with it or suggest a way to fix it better than what we have found.

I never thought of hells bells, I figured it would start out too slow and you would never get to the part with any guitar. I am with the Baby Pens too. I have the Penguins theme song on my computer already so I should be able to set that for the big club when I make it up. Have some other yinser staples too, like Cotton Eyed Joe (man I hate that song!). But should get it sounding as authentic as possible.

I simply cannot state how much this adds to the game. When we used to play NHL on the PC the ditties were as huge as anything. We were all so sad when they took them away. Now they are back and coming out of a surround sound and on a big screen this games looks and sounds amazing!

I think that the songs that start out slow with great intro's leading into the music would sound best, i.e. hells bells,for whom the bell tolls, money for nothing by dire straits, etc. If anyone else finds songs that work great plz post em Did anyone try the 500 songs that were posted and if so how did they sound? did you have to up the sound on them also?

I'm using the Baby Pens as well. I've got Atreyu's "You Eclipsed By Me" out of my collection as we skate onto the ice and I've put Song 2 as the goal score sound and it works darn well.

so does Poros songs work well with nhl 09? i see someone said they sounded to low? can anyone confirm this?

Well, i have been using my song packs and some other songs with reverb and they work fine. You just have to turn up the arena music slider and lower the other sliders .

Welcome To The Jungle is a great intro song, it really gets going just as the home team hits the ice.

This is what I've found from a preview of the game as far as categories. It may or may not still be correct:



Home Team Intro – Roughly 1 minute in length

Home Goal – Roughly 20 seconds in length

Home Penalty – Roughly 15 seconds in length

Home Win Game – Unlimited in length

Away Goal – Roughly 20 seconds in length

Away Penalty – Roughly 15 seconds in length

Away Win Game – Unlimited in length

Off Play – Roughly 7 seconds in length

Intermission – Unlimited in length
