Hahaha thanks man! Good to be back! I did go back to read it and I can't believe you've kept the Betis career going! Respect man. You've got tremendous talent on the field (Harry Kane migrated to Spain like Bale what what!) but only one goalkeeper? Granted that's a quality keeper you got there but what's going to happen when he gets injured in training? Hope I don't jinx it... Lol oh and I demand details on that Malaga fixture! Details!

I fixed the GK thing in the January window so that's no longer an issue. I am not giving any details of that Malaga game because it causes me to cringe. But I will say this : it was 0-0 at halftime.

Re: How's Your FIFA Career Mode Going?

OK!, hope all are doing well!, time for a bit of career mode catch up and thoughts!...if i've missed you i'll get you in the next one!

texas - To begin, Well done on the promotion!..A good win over West Brom in the F.A cup! Quarter finals but unlucy to go down too Sunderland especially having 88 minutes to try and catch up that early Sunderland goal!, you worked your way into top 6 contention nicely!, what a rollercoaster that match against Middlesborough would have been!...I liked the signing of Marc Albrighton, I like him as a player, good at his role!.. A nice start to the Premier League!

Keano - With Portsmouth lurking in 3rd, that loss to L.O and draws against Derby and Wycombe could be costly!, if you can hang on you will be the first manager in history to see Accrington Stanly out of League Two!

vrabbit - Seems everyone has missed the fact you won the J.Paint trophy swell as promotion last season!, well done!, A very Bournemouth type story coming along here with promotion after promotion on a budget!, in my career i have Thierry Ambrose on my shortlist, but he is only 65 overall, you've got him upto a 74!... Championship Football will be tougher, might need too focus on adding quality defenders ready for another promotion!

Moose - Dyballa...No!, Oh no not Dyballa!!!....no now!...you have Champions League games to play!!.
I'm sure the board will want a top of the table finish?...Rondon and Lacazette really have to stand up now!, on a bright note Everton seem to be doing well in your career mode! just kidding!, I thought you had Hull City covered but they just kept coming at you in the last 10... you certainly have a lot of depth through the mid and striker position but Massana needs to polish up his finishing technique!. Have you felt Pjanic has been a good fit so far for West Ham?

Simpuu - What a fall from grace Stuttgart have had, I don't know a lot about Bundesliga history!... Timo Werner sold already!l! ...A commitment to realism at it's finest!, 19 mil tho is something to work with!, A great performance against Fortuna Düsseldorf!,not to often the ball finds the net 6 times!.

Cruzer - I really like the signing of Mané, I do request you change his armbands from red to blue! haha A good start in the Champions League smashing Legia Warzawa 0-3... As an Everton fan i will be keeping a close eye on these updates!

SoutherMetalHead - I know very very little about Russian Football!, but Moscow, Zenit and Locomotive would all have big budgets,correct?...and does only the league winner get through to champions league?

Josh 4 - It's going to be hard to fend off those early leads in the premier league!, The Chelsea loss would have hurt!, gotta maybe park the but and use the play possession settings to keep those leads from dissolving!

Manager's Thoughts
A great October saw us win 5 of 7 matches and get draws in the 2 matches we didn't win, which vaulted us into 1st place in Serie B with a 5-point cushion at the top of the table. We opened with a tough 1-1 draw against a very good Cagliari side as we were rescued by an 86th minute goal from Marcello Trotta. The other huge game was a 1-0 win over previous league-leaders Spezia as a deflected header from Francesco Tavano on a cross into the box found its way in the back of the net. The only game I felt disappointed by was the 0-0 draw at Modena, but overall the lads are doing phenominal.

November 2015 - Fixtures
11/3 - at Cesena
11/7 - vs Perugia
11/11 - at Palermo*
11/14 - at Livorno
11/21 - vs Pro Vercelli
11/24 - at Latina
11/28 - at Novara

*TIM Cup - Round 3

November sees us with tough league games against Cesena, Perugia, and Livorno, all clubs who are in the top-8. Cesena and Livorno are on the road, but I would still like to take at least a win and a draw from that split. We also see how we stack up against a Serie A side, as we play Palermo in the 3rd Round of the TIM Cup. The cup is of less importance to me than promotion, so we will probably go with a reserve squad. The ultimate goal at this point is to get the jump to the top-flight of Italian football for next season, so strong results are critical.

it was nice to see you get that result in the JPT after a rough couple of games in league play. Nice to see Samuelsen getting into top form for you.

Starting XI (4-4-2 Diamond Wide)

Martinez

Odubajo/Luan/Blackett/B-Williams

Ince

Giles ------------------ B. Moore

Gordon

Ambrose ------- Thuram

___________________________________

League Match 5
Leeds United - Newport County (1-0)
Elek 72'

Leeds frustrated The Exiles all game long on both ends of the pitch and Ákos Elek put a loose ball past Emiliano Martinez about 20 minutes before the game's end to give the home team 3 crucial points in the early going. Leeds slightly edged the visitors in both possession and shots.

League Match 6
Bournemouth - Newport County (0-2)
Giles 32' (Ambrose)
Thuram 45+' (Giles)

Giles and Ambrose left their prints all over this key road win for The Exiles as they teamed up twice in a 15-minute span to help Newport get all they would need to earn the 3 points. Ambrose fed Giles on a breakaway on the right side of the box for the first score and then right before the half the French striker connected with the English winger again who then proceeded to cross the ball into the box to Thuram who headed it in for the second score.

...

With a rivalry game on tap against Cardiff City, Exiles coach Giovanni Marccelino went slightly off character in his pre-game press conference:

League Match 7
Newport County - Cardiff City

League Match 8
QPR - Newport County (3-0)
Villalba 7'
Polter 34'
Polter 48'
Gordon 56' (Bruised elbow, out 8 days)

The Exiles suffer back-to-back losses for the first time this season and some concern starts to roam the headlines in Newport. Although Marccelino's squad had a similar number of shots and shots on goal as QPR they weren't able to be as effective and were thoroughly outclassed from beginning to end by the league leaders.

League Match 9
Newport County - Blackburn Rovers (1-0)
In Beom 53' (Giles)
Blackett 75'

The Exiles were able to break out of their funk during a moment of brilliance between Giles and In Beom that was good enough to earn them an important victory against one of the teams ahead of them in the standings. However, it was a fairly close game throughout. Additionally, the win may be the second biggest story to come from this game as the starting lineup had a sudden change in it with Tyler Blackett starting in place of Sebastian Vegas. When asked about it after the game Marccelino would only say he had spoke with both players and was "trying something different". Newport County had given up 5 goals in 2 games before earning this clean sheet so we'll have to analyze Vegas' performances this season.

Capital One Cup - 3rd Round
Wigan Athletic - Newport County (0-1)
Thuram 35' (In Beom)

A rainy day made for a sloppy game at DW Stadium but thankfully for The Exiles they were able to break through on a nice feed from In Beom to Thuram in the 35th minute. Marccelino's squad continues to be far from convincing but they also continue to move on in the COC.

Marcus Thuram scores the only goal of the game.

League Match 10
Huddersfield - Newport County (0-5)
Ince 9' (Ambrose)
Ambrose 28' (Thuram)
Ince 36' (Gordon)
Giles 79' (Fernandes)
Ambrose 84' (Giles)

Some will say questions about The Exiles remain even if they slaughtered the worst team in the league but struggling teams don't win games 5-0 much less on the road, so this may signify the righting of the ship for Marccelino & Co. Newport was dominant from beginning to end, dominating both possession (55%) and putting 7 of their 8 shots on goal while holding Huddersfield to a single shot that wasn't even on target. It was a much needed performance to end the month to hopefully put this team back in contention.

Top Scorers
1. Gray (Burnley) - 10
2. Ambrose (Newport County) - 7
T3. Afobe (Wolves) - 6

(2 others also with 6)

Assists
1. Gordon (Newport County) - 7
2. Malyshev (Cardiff City) - 4
T3. Ambrose (Newport County) - 3

(2 others also with 3)

Clean Sheets
1. Hrádecký (QPR) - 5
T2. Martin (Bolton) - 4
T2. Federici (Leeds United) - 4
T2. Kritciuk (Brighton) - 4

...
T3. Martinez (Newport County) - 3

Marccelino's Dairy: September was a rough month for us, no reason to sugar coat that. In cup play winning is all that matters so I was proud of the lads for pulling the 1-0 win, but 3-0-3 in league play is just not acceptable. I had been noticing poor form in our CB play and after the consecutive losses I made a decision to start Tyler Blackett to get a different look. Maybe I was being too greedy by starting two CB's that had just arrived to the league. Sebastian Vegas is a good player, a good defender, and he'll get an opportunity again. Luan is more of a veteran so I feel I can trust him through the struggles but with Sebastian I want to make sure I'm taking care of him. We'll see how things go in the next couple of months.

The Academy

CAM - Daniele Martella (57 OVR, 90-94 POT): The more our scouts evaluate this 17-year old from Italy the more they are convinced he has top potential. While he isn't as advanced in his development as other prospects in our club we're committed to working as much as needed with him to help him become a future part of our roster and hopefully reach his potential.

CDM - Doke Boëtius (60 OVR, 81-87): 17-year old from Netherlands standing at 6'3" and 169lbs. He joins a crowded group of youngsters at CDM (Dall'Oglio, Ichigawa, Kagome) so he'll need to be patient and continue to work hard in the academy for his opportunity. He could become a loan candidate as soon as next season.

CAM - Andrea De Girolamo (64 OVR, 78-86): 18-year old from Italy whose skill set is probably on par with the core of players who provide depth for the club. Standing at 5'7", 145lbs, De Girolamo is a demon with the ball at his feet in the academy thanks to his combination of agility (75), ball control (74), dribbling (73), and acceleration (71).

RB - Willem Van Hout (48 OVR, 79-85): This 16-year old from Belgium is still very raw but exhibits very good potential and coaches in the academy are trying to make sure he remains focused on working on developing his game. Doesn't possess the pace the team would like at the position but Marccelino is keeping more of an open mind when it comes to that after watching Fernandes play.
* Recent addition

10/9: at Rotherham Utd
