It does take a lot more effort to optimize PC games than it does console games. Consoles are all built the same, so when developers are making games for the PS5, Series S, and Series X, they have literally 3 systems they have to care about only. For PC, you can have 500,000 people buy your game and all literally have a unique setup, so making sure the game is running properly on a large amount of different pieces of hardware just naturally takes longer.

That said, GTA releases on PC so much later than it does consoles because Rockstar likes money and knows idiots like myself will buy it brand new on both a console and on PC when it releases, so there is a large group of people that they will get 2 sales out of.

For the CFB game, it's a niche sports game that won't ever sell as well as Madden and given how small the PC crowd is for sports games in general, the amount of resources that would need to be allocated to getting a PC version ready is not going to be worth it for the small amount of additional sales they'd get.

At this point, EA should just reveal everything if their intent was to only reveal covers...in this day and age, it's difficult to keep anything digital under wraps.

Yeah, at this point with the leaks, makes sense to do the reveal tomorrow as it was originally intended. Besides the third edition, the covers are out. So to just release the covers and release date, would feel a little underwhelming.

It's very challenging to keep things under wraps these days. Especially with data miners. Apparently Madden might get revealed as well tomorrow. It feels like only way to keep things under wraps is to keep everything in house until you're ready.
