If we had a running game in 2010, Alabama goes down and goes down ugly. You know that and I know that. Will it be tough? Yes. Impossible? Hardly.

It isn't like Kniles Davis played horrible against Alabama, he just didn't get many carries. Arkansas' strength was their passing game and Alabama's largest defensive weakness was their pass defense. The only way Arkansas was going to win that game was through the air with a flawless performance from Mallett, his mistakes cost them the game.

Anyways, Arkansas did have a running game last year, Kniles Davis alone averaged over 100 yards rushing per game. So is your point that if Alabama wasn't so good against the run (what their defense is known for being good at) you would've beat them?

I suppose if Arkansas had a rush defense last year Auburn would've gone down ugly, too.

If we had Penn Wagers in our back pocket we could've turned fumbles into ghost touchdowns, and our defensive tackles could cheap shot after the whistle also. Can't wait for you Whore Eagles to come to Fayetteville.

You know what they say about excuses.

It's easy to pick on somebody in a down year, huh?

Ignorant for a couple of reasons:

Just about every successfull team (including Bama) has had just as much "luck" go their way. I can think of 3 games in 2009 just off the top of my head that you were very fortunate to win because of a ball bounce or a referee's call or whatever. Does that mean Saban is just "lucky"? Of course not. He coached his team to be ready for those situations and to take advantage of them, and take advantage they did. Every team that has success, at some point in time, will have things go their way because of something out of their control. People love to claim Les is just "lucky" in order to rationalize the cognitive dissonance they feel when they see Les having success. They don't think he should be having that success because (a) He's not the best public speaker in the world, and a bit goofy at times. Because of this, people simply assume he must be stupid, and therefore a bad coach and (b) because he makes a lot of unconventional decisions in timely situations. Rather than recognizing that Les is a master of choosing when and how to make those calls, they simply dismiss it as "lucky" because again, they experience cognitive dissonance when Les has success because they don't "feel" as if he should, so as a result they feel as though they must somehow rationalize the conflict between what they "feel" to be true and the reality they are faced with. Simply labeling it as "lucky" is the simplest way to do that. This is basic human psychology .

The only game LSU has been truly lucky to win since Les has been the coach is Tennessee last year.
