Kendry Morales topped off a wild game with a 3 run walk off home run that led the Angels past the visiting Tigers 9-8. In a game that had 7 home runs total in it, it was only fitting that the game end on one. The homer was Morales 2nd on the season.
Hidecki Matsui (5) and Torii Hunter (2) also hit home runs for the Angels. For the Tigers Brandon Inge (4) hit a pair of bombs and Miguel Cabera (5) and Adam Everett each added one of their own.
These two teams take the field again tonight with Jeremy Bonderman (1-1, 6.35) facing Ervin Santana (0-1, 7.36).

The Angels announced today that they placed OF Bobby Abreu on the 15 Day DL, with a fractured shin. Abreu was hurt in last night's 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays after colliding with catcher Travis Buck at home plate. Abreu is expected to miss 4 to 8 weeks of action.
The Angels announced they brought up recently signed veteran utility player Ryan Freel from AAA Salt Lake to take Abreu's spot on the roster. Reggie Willits will more than likely replace Abreu in the every day lineup, although Angels GM Brian Krich did not rule out finding another OF outside of the club.
There are several free agent OF's the Angels could look at that could help. Jermaine Dye and Rocco Baldelli for example remain unsigned as does oft trouble OF Elijah Dukes. Although after the Jose Guillen experiment it's unlikely the Angels would go that route.
The Angels hope to break their current 4 game losing streak in tonights game with the Toronto Blue Jays. Scott Kazmir (2-0, 1.64) takes the mound for LA while Brandon Morrow (2-0, 3.65) will pitch for the Blue Jays.
