Thanks for the reply. So, do you think I could go in and change some contracts in the OSFM roster prior to starting a franchise and get the budget back down to 90M or so? I want to use that roster, but I don't want to be the Yankees. The challenge of a smaller market team is what is fun, and an extra 25M for a whopping 115M budget feels like it'll be too easy.
Thanks for all the help!

As for a team to start a franchise with, I also prefer the small market teams. The Padres would be realistic as they just fired their GM Josh Byrnes ;-).
The Brewers have the worst farm system in the game and selling off pieces like Rickie Weeks, Aramis Ramirez and maybe even Ryan Braun could net you some nice prospects to rebuild with.
I'd say the most important thing is to pick a team that you enjoy playing with meaning they have nice uni's and a sweet ballpark that you won't get tired of (Tropicana Field). It also helps to play with a team in a division with "fun" teams as you'll face those teams wuite a lot. Personal preference here is that the NL West and NL Central are fun while the AL Central is boring.
