# 1 AlexBrady @ Nov 7
With the first pick I will select Wilt Chamberlain. Why? Power, passing, scoring, rebounding, and defending. Defenses are weakest when the ball is positioned near the basket.

# 2 da ThRONe @ Nov 7
Sorry for holding things up.

I'm taking LeBron with the 3rd pick. He's proablely the best athlete and all around player to ever play hoops. Would like for him to have more clutch wins and A title. However he's still younger than Jordan when he won his 1st.

# 3 Kashanova @ Nov 7
I'm taking Kareem Abdul Jabber, The reasons are easy too, Arguably the best center of time probably, the most unstopable shot before the jordan fadeaway, The guy is a winner having 6 championships, multiple mvps, and an all around player, offensive machine and a defensive stopper

# 4 JBH3 @ Nov 7
I am taking Shaquille O'Neal. In his prime he was as an unstoppable a force as the NBA has ever seen. Personally...I don't know what Wilt Chamberlain or Abdul Jabbar would do with him. He could just plain muscle them out of the paint.

Apologize for holding up the draft. Will have to subscribe to this on my tapatalk since I can no longer access OS from work CPU.

# 5 wwharton @ Nov 8
Like most drafts, missed my guy by one pick, ha ha. Hate you Shaq but you're still a beast. Ok, so I'll go with Hakeem Olajuwon. I think best strategy is still to build a team inside out and the concept has disappeared recently more because of the lack of quality big men than a change of times/rules. The Dream dominated on both offense and defense, and his footwork, face up game, passing and jump shot makes him extremely versatile.

I'm going to have limited time on the pc over the next week so I'll try to keep up with this on my phone too.

# 6 OSUFan_88 @ Nov 8
I will select Larry Bird. Why? Competitive fire, shooting ability, and overall toughness. The people who played with Larry told of his legendary ability to talk trash and play all out. A great scorer, a great passer, a great rebounder, a great defender. Larry Legend has rightly earned that name. He is Dirk but with more defense. There was no stopping Larry when he got into the zone. Simply put, I believe this pick in overall talent and leadership was the best pick at this point.

# 7 iLLosophy @ Nov 8
Im going to go with magic johnson. As anybody who plays ball knows, the pg can make or break a team. Magic was the arguably the best ever pass first pg, plus he was 6'9 which gave him a huge height advantage and the ability to guard the 1, 2, or 3.

# 8 iLLosophy @ Nov 8
(sorry rest of my message got cut off). In addition to his passing he was good for 20 ppg, and shot the ball over .500 fg over his career which is higher than many post players. Lastly he has enough rings to fill one hand.

# 9 Dice @ Nov 8
With the 9th pick, I'm going to go with Tim Duncan. Why? Widely regarded as the best power forward in NBA history. I consider him more of a hybrid PF/C. If he was a full time center, he would have been regarded as the best center of all time. He didn't possess the speed and quickness of Olajuwon. Didn't have the strength of a Shaq. Didn't have the intensity and emotion of a KG. Nor had the leaping abilty of a Shawn Kemp. BUT what he had over all those guys I just mentioned was the basketball I.Q. He is the smartest big man I've seen play the game. A post scorer that commanded double teams from the defense. A great position defender and excellent team defender. Not a great rebounder but very solid. Probably the best player since Michael Jordan retired. 2-time MVP. 3-time Finals MVP. 4-time NBA champion.

# 10 st0rmb11 @ Nov 9
Well, I was 100% set to pick Tim Duncan with this pick and hadn't really considered anyone else. That being said, I would have had this pick in sooner, but I had to do a little extra research to help me choose between 2 people. My decision? Well, with the 10th pick in this draft, I choose one of the greatest rebounders of all-time and the greatest offensive rebounder ever - Moses Malone. I feel confident with this pick because I have no intentions of him being my "go to scorer". His objective? Rebound. and I would have no problem selling him on this. He was never out for numbers. He LOVED to get rebounds, plain and simple. I plan on surrounding him with great scorers. He was never known for begging for more touches or destroying a team. He created his own touches. The 3 time MVP & 1 time Finals MVP played huge in big games. He'll give me countless minutes every night, and rarely miss a game. Most importantly - he owned the hell out of the greatest center ever (Jabbar), and I feel that he would have done the same to Russell, Chamberlain, or almost any other all-time center. I feel completely confident that as long as I put good play makers and scorers around him (which I will), I'll have no problem.

# 11 Taur3asi3 @ Nov 9
I was positive I was going to get Moses. Dammit. With my pick I'm taking Jerry West. What can be said about Jerry West that isn't summed up by virtue of him being the Logo? Excellent all-around player, combo guard, incredible defensively in the same class as Clyde, MJ, and GP, awesome scorer and shooter, top notch distributor, also has the distinction of being the only NBA Finals MVP to come from the losing team.

# 12 The15thunter @ Nov 9
i'm going with bill russell to end round 1.

wowsers, i didn't think he'd be sitting here for me to choose. the greatest winner in the history of basketball, he was also one of the sharpest minds in all of sports history. he was incredibly cerebral, and essentially neutralizes the #1 overall pick as long as the game matters, . dominant rebonder, elite defender, adequate scorer, galvanizing force in the locker room who can quell any ago he comes across because he has the respect of every basketball player ever. easy pick.

and to kick off round 2, let's bring in kobe bean bryant.

with russell making sure the interior and the glass belong to me, let's create some problems on the offensive end. that's kobe. one of the greatest scorers in basketball history, supreme confidence, high-level ball-handling, capable of scoring in bunches from anywhere, can make a difference without the ball in his hands, and would be able to fill his natural role as a scorer without having to feel like he has to curtail himself to russell like he did shaq.

# 13 Taur3asi3 @ Nov 9
With my next pick i proudly select 2 time NBA MVP Bob Pettit. Great big man, can play PF and Center, very good shooter for his era, tenacious rebounding, solid defender, 4 time All Star MVP in addition to 2 regular season MVPs, lead league 4 times in efficiency, averaged 26ppg, 16rpg, 3apg in his career, 10x All NBA 1st Team and 1x All NBA 2nd team. I feel this is the best pick for me at this point and gives me a very solid and vastly underrated big man to build around and I feel that he is a good compliment to Jerry West.

# 14 st0rmb11 @ Nov 9
After much deliberation, I've decided to use my 2nd pick on Dwyane Wade. What can't he do? He's the best all-around shooting guard since Jordan. He's a true top notch defender. He can get to the rim at will. He's got a good enough jump shot to make you play him. He's got the handles to cross you over and drive in whenever he pleases. He's a good and, more importantly, WILLING passer. But, most importantly - he has proven time and again that he comes up big in the clutch. My only reservation is how injury prone he has been because of his reckless driving. But, I think that with him not being asked to carry the entire load by himself, that won't be an issue.

# 15 Dice @ Nov 9
My next pick will be Oscar Robertson. The only player in NBA history to average a triple double for a season. Never got a chance to watch him live but watching him on NBA TV, ESPN Classic and YouTube, I’ve seen enough. Looking at the few games I saw him play, he was probably one of the best scorers in NBA history in terms of will. He’d get to his hot spots on the floor and it just seemed like no one could stop him. From the guard spot, only Michael Jordan had a better post game than Robertson. Low and high post. Didn’t have long range shooting but his mid-range game was money. Considered more of a Wilt Chamberlian type from the guard spot because he was a lot bigger than most of the guards of his day but that doesn’t diminish his skills and accomplishments. Watched an old playoff game against the Celtics, I think it was 1965, where Tom Sanders(who was 6’6” and regarded as a great defender) was guarding Robertson and he had no trouble scoring on him. Haven’t even gotten to his point guard skills, which were revolutionary for his time. Most of Oscar’s assists(as well as his heir apparent Magic Johnson) was from the post. This is why LeBron James could average 10+ assist a game if he ever get an effective post game. Oscar revolutionized non-big men being effective offensive threats in the post.
