Fight Night and Boxing videogames
Ideas, suggestions and talk about making a boxing fan's dream game.

I have always wondered why no company has made a game with martial arts characters from the seventies and Shaw Brother characters. They had some very colorful characters that were enjoyable to watch. All my brothers , our friends and me would sit excited watching these movies faithfully every time they came on and this was the norm in many households. We were amazed how the character/characters trained and perfect certain styles to defeat someone, it was incredible. I remember the scorpion vs. ... Read More

Jeff & Brian Field a Few Community Q's

Hey Fight Night Fans!

Okay, look, maybe we underestimated your appetite for details about Fight Night Round 4. Maybe we overestimated your desire to read anything about what the team thinks about Ali, Tyson or the sport of boxing in general. (Brizzo is still going to post ... Read More

I had to write this blog because it really irritates me that people want legends out of the Fight Night series. Please do me a favor, name 30 current fighters. I'm talking about exciting and entertaining fighters that ****** fans(which a couple of you are) can name or recognized? It's really aggravating to keep hearing people say that they want current fighters and almost no legends if any. Boxing didn't start when you saw your first boxing match on TV. It should be an option to use legends. No one ... Read More

If Visual Concepts handled a new boxing game would you buy it?

Many may say boxing is dying and it's not fun to watch any more, especially when you have to pay for many of the fights. Boxing isn't going to die anytime soon because you people who are always going to be watching for the next Big Thing. Many fans are looking for the next Tyson,Marciano,Sugar Ray,Chavez, etc; Believe it or not, virtual boxing is going strong even gaining a couple of fans wondering who is that guy I used ... Read More

I wonder why don't sports games deal with more advertisements of that sport. You have all these sports magazines, clothing appparel and equipment makers that could help on thier so called budget. Getting companies to advertise could give certain games an authentic look. Imagine having magazines like The Ring, Boxing Digest, etc; having your fighter in it. We would have more choices of brand name gear for boxers. I'm just throwing ideas out there as I think of them. If someone wants to add on you are ... Read More

I have been trying to get the guys(I mean Steve) at Operation Sports to do an interview with these different companies(THQ, Codemasters,Midway etc; ) that have some type of fighting or boxing videogame history. Some of them made excuses about the technology and limitations of older consoles. Steve you got have insider connections. Ask questions to pc game creator of Title Bout Championship Boxing like...Why haven't they hooked up or came together with a company that could add top notch graphics ... Read More

I was in the Title Bout Championship Boxing forums on another site and you have guys(40+ ) there who love boxing.

Here what's being said in one of the threads.....

I'm hoping Facebreaker was geared more toward ******,arcade fans and Fight Night Round 4 is geared more toward die-hard sim boxing fans. Facebreaker wasn't a game a true boxing fan would be interested in. Facebreaker could have been fun if it was a little slower. It had a decent feature in it's share your created character.

I just want Fight Night Round 4 to be for us die-hard sim fans. I hoping everything is right and exact. The new producer Brian(Brizzo)is a true boxing fan,but ... Read More

The future Fight Night series should give us a deeper Create A Boxer and customization. We should be able to give our created boxers tendencies like the percentage of times he throws jabs, right hands, hooks, etc;. Does the boxer clinch alot and when does he clinch? when he's hurt, survival(John Ruiz),tactical to wear you down. We should be able to decide how offensive/defensive he is.(similiar to the rating system below) If you have anything you want to add, do so. I have so much to say on this. ... Read More

I want a boxing game with a deep, clear and realistic presentation. I want screens that say wow, this is boxing! I want to really explore and set up matches. I want to know about other matches that are happening around the world and being able to watch them if I wanted. Boxing videogames need to take us where other sports games are at. Don King's Prizefighter poster maker was a good idea that EA or some other company should use.

The ultimate boxing game would be part Fight Night, part Title Bout Championship Boxing, part Smackdown vs. Raw. Fight Night has been making strides to be a great game, but after the graphics and some decent gameplay many of us are left dry looking for more. The career mode has lost it's interest. It's not realistic and doesn't have replay value. Now, if Fight Night had a deep presentation like Title Bout Championship boxing it would really grab our attention and make us want to do more or spend extra ... Read More
