I have notice many past boxing games have taken the somewhat arcade approach to boxing games. The boxers didn't really have an identity beyond their names and one or two punches they used. They appeared to be meer action figures or Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots going back and forth without techniques and capabilities that the boxer are known for.

Should videogame writers do reviews on sports videogames?

Should videogame media writers do the reviews and previews on sports videogames or should sports writers do the reviews and previews? It get's annoying seeing a review from a game writer who spent most of their life playing other genres of games and sports is a casual affair they are trying to catch up on. Many of these reviewers talk more about the graphics than the actual gameplay or authenticity to sport.

Who hasn't let the computer play by itself? I mean let the computer play as their favorite team,fighter or athlete to see how realistic the outcome would be. Many want to see does the CPU VS. CPU act and react realistic to that athlete(player) or team.

Clinching in boxing and MMA

The thing that bothers me is that people say they hate clinching in boxing, but these people are the same people who became MMA fans and guess what? They clinch! I know the die-hard MMA fan will defend this and say it's part of a strategy. The same thing applies to boxing, it's a strategy by many boxers. It may get frowned on by some but it has to be used by some boxers.
