EA has a huge love affair with arcadey sports gaming. EA seems to think sim/realistic sports games don't sell. They have been showing their true colors lately by buying or re-introducing arcade style sports games. They have really been pushing these types of games.

I'm starting to think the near future games they say will be sim/realistic will be nothing but hybrid sim/arcade games. EA never made a sim/realistic sports game so how can they fear making one. I can't see Madden or even ... Read More

What Fight Night Champion 2 and other companies need to do to capture boxing ****** and Hardcore fans imagination is to stop limiting their fans
imagination.

First, companies need to stop lying about their so-called marketing research they say they do. How is their marketing and research team going to judge results from a product that was never created.

I keep reading and hearing responses from some companies that certain game additions like modes and styles ... Read More

If a boxing videogame had a combination of what these videogame have it would be a huge seller.

Title Bout Championship Boxing

Companies need to know that gameplay can compete with graphics . Diverse styles with balance can compete with big names boxers. Realistic boxing can compete with physics engines . Boxing isn't dead or dying, it just media or medium to push it. Boxing always had it's dead time until one or two boxers really made some noise.
If a gaming company gave fans realism and sim aspects to a boxing game coupled with the tools to customize their boxing universe it would be a huge seller. Past boxing ... Read More

"This is part 1 of this plea to the sports video game makers of the world. This is a plea from someone who is not just a gamer and a sports fan, but also a gamer that understands the concepts of programming and business. I have too much to share to put it all in one article, this is part 1:

Customization: Created Players/Teams & Stadiums

I am on a big campaign to show the EA Fight Night producers that Fight Night CAB Mode is and can be bigger than they think. This mode has been ignored so long and hasn't got the respect it should.
This mode should have alot of focus put into it so we can create the boxers that EA Fight Night producers couldn't sign. There are so many games out there that have incredible creation tools and customization modes that are huge fan favorites.

I wonder who's marketing these games, sports games? I keep reading producers posts that say "well our marketing said this and marketing said that", I'm really confused because what kind of research is marketing doing? It's seems like many of these companies have preconceived ideas already and throw the marketing word out there to cover anything that may fail.

I go to many gaming sites I never saw a survey or anything from a mysterious person/persons (marketing) asking fans what they ... Read More

I did a couple of polls on various sites and found out that most gamers don't buy DLC because it doesn't have anything unique about it and sets it apart from the rest of the game.

This blog is talking about games like the Fight Night series. The boxers have nothing unique about them. They don't have any tendencies, abilities, or styles that replicates the boxers they are suppose to be.

Fans want something that really adds to their game and playing experience, not something ... Read More

Take-Two Interactive/2K Sports please let Visual Concepts create a boxing game. Visual Concepts is known for its detail and depth in games. Many fans feel Visual Concepts are the best fit to make a boxing that will capture the sim/realistic aspects of the sport of boxing.

EA needs competition!

Take-Two Interactive/2K Sports/Visual Concepts can use the fan's wishlist ... Read More
