Did we really just sweep the Yankees? Yup.

This team is so conceited: They still play New York New York even when they lose!

Your player of the game.

Yankees suffer loss at home, as lead over Rays in AL East drops to 7 and a half games.

The Yankees suffered a 5-0 loss to the Blue Jays last night, cutting their AL East lead to 7 and a half games over the Rays.

Mark Teixeira went 2-for-4 to provide a small jolt for the offense.

Freddy Garcia (14-8) was the starter and loser, working 6 and a third inning allowing 4 runs on 6 hits in defeat. Joe Girardi gave an assessment after the team's performance, saying, "I'm lucky enough that this team has built up such a lead in the division. To have the Blue Jays come in a sweep us on our turf is quite disturbing for me to fathom. Have a good day, folks."

The Yankees start a new series in New York tomorrow night, sending Bartolo Colon (16-7, 2.67) to the mound against the Orioles and Jake Arrieta (11-12, 4.29).

The Yankees lost some ground in the AL East, as the Blue Jays scored a 9-4 win at Yankee Stadium last night, Cutting New York's lead to 8 and a half games ahead of the Rays.

Eric Chavez slugged a home run and drove in 2 runs, going 2-for-4 at the plate to lead the offense.

Due to my loss of laptop it made it extremely hard for me to continue my last season of Yankee baseball. I now have my laptop fully up and running at this point. I've been trying to play along with the real-life Yankees: So the first game I will be posting will be today's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.

The scheduled pitching match-up is C.C. Sabathia (16-7 4.37) going up against A.J. [Yes] A.J. Burnett (10-11 3.87) for the Blue Jays. I released A.J. early on in the season due to me not having faith in him anymore.

The Yankees are currently 101-39 which puts them atop the AL East with the Rays trailing in second[9.0 games back] with a record of 92-48. (Red Sox in third 90-49. L10: 8-2)

So here I go with more dynasty posts of Yankee baseball!

Sir Lancelot rides to the rescue! C’est lui! C’est lui!

The Yankees win an AL East matchup at home, taking their win streak to 8 with a victory over the Orioles.

The Yankees demolished the Orioles 12-0 last night, winning in front of 52,325 happy fans at Yankee Stadium.

Andy Pettitte was the star on the mound, hurling 7 scoreless frames in picking up his 9th win of the season.

Going 3-for-4 and driving in 2 runs, Mark Teixeira was the catalyst offensively.

Skipper, Joe Girardi, gave some comments on his team's performance, saying,"It's hard to be on the winning end of a game like this sometimes, but not as hard as it is to be on the losing end. I'm glad my boys have put together another great streak of wins. Let's keep pushing for some history here!"

The series continues tonight with Roy Oswalt (5-3, 4.66) going for the Yankees and Jeremy Guthrie (3-4, 5.51) slated to work for the Orioles.

I CC you pitching!

Don't ever get too far off of a base. Because Swishalicious is always watching!

Case and point!

New York increases their win streak to 6 after beating Cleveland at home.

The 52,094 fans in attendance at Yankee Stadium went home happy following the Yankees 6-2 victory over the Indians yesterday.

C.C. Sabathia worked a solid game, giving up 2 runs along the way to win number 7 of the season.

The club got a small boost from Russell Martin, who had 1 RBI and went 1-for-2 at the plate.

Manager Joe Girardi was asked what he thought of the game."Thanks to the guys who are pitching, hitting, and fielding well, I look like a genius. Let's hope we keep it up!"

The Yankees try to wrap up the sweep tonight, giving the start to Cliff Lee (3-1, 3.00) while the Indians counter with Anthony Reyes (1-0, 4.70).

MR42 is no stranger to closing games!

In a tight contest, Yankees beat the Indians.

The Yankees escaped with a narrow victory last night, beating the Indians 4-3 in front of 52,325 fans at Yankee Stadium.

Providing the offense was Nick Swisher, who went 3-for-3 with a home run and 4 RBI.

Phil Hughes got through 5 and a third innings of work, allowing 3 runs and 5 hits, but it was good enough for his 3rd straight victory and 3rd of the season.

C.C. Sabathia (6-2, 4.27) gets the call for New York in game 3 at Yankee Stadium this afternoon, and the Indians will send Fausto Carmona (1-2, 7.82) to the mound to oppose the Yankees' big gun.

It's 4 in a row for Yankees, who defeat the Indians at home. The Yankees were able to come through for their fans last night, winning a close game over the Indians, 8-5.

Robinson Cano carried the club (finally), going 3-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBIs.

Roy Oswalt allowed 4 runs and 11 hits over 7 innings of work to collect his 5th win of the season, and it also extended his winning streak to 3 in a row.

The series resumes this afternoon, with Phil Hughes (2-0, 3.05) scaling the mound for the Yankees to face off with Mitch Talbot (4-2, 5.66) and the Indians.

There's no place like the road for the Yankees, as they finish off the sweep of the Twins.

Last night at Target Field, a disappointed crowd of 23,509 saw the Twins drop a 6-2 decision to the Yankees.

Andy Pettitte earned his 8th win of the season, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits, while striking out 7.

Curtis Granderson had a big game offensively, bashing a home run and driving in 3 runs.

Tonight's game with the Indians is the first of a 7-game homestand for the Yankees, who give the starting nod to Roy Oswalt (4-3, 4.61), while the Indians go with Jake Westbrook (3-2, 5.36).

Yankees treat Twins like minor-league fodder in big rout for New York.

Last night at Target Field, a disappointed crowd of 26,506 saw the Twins drop a 7-2 decision to the Yankees.

Alex Rodriguez slugged a inside the park home run and drove in 3 runs, going 2-for-5 at the plate to lead the offense.

Allowing 5 hits in 6 innings, Cliff Lee was able to pick up his 3rd win of the season with some -- ok, a lot -- of help from his 'pen.

The series concludes under the lights tonight, with Andy Pettitte (7-1, 3.10) getting the nod for the Yankees, while the Twins send Carl Pavano (1-3, 4.60) to the hill.

The Yankees acquired C Russell Martin from the Dodgers for LF Carl Crawford and C Austin Romine.

Take a look at the catcher of the future for the Yankees! He goes by the name of Austin Romine.

Yankees draw first blood on the road, winning initial game of the series.

It was no contest under the lights at Target Field last night, as the Yankees beat up the Twins 12-3 with 25,389 fans on hand.

Alex Rodriguez carried a big stick -- and he used it -- pounding a pair of home runs and knocking in 4 runs.

C.C. Sabathia earned the win, his 6th of the season, but he wasn't very good, giving up 8 hits in only 5 innings, with the bullpen providing four innings of solid relief.

Austin Romine talked about the team's and his performance in a post-game interview. "It's hard to be on the winning end of a game like this sometimes, but not as hard as it is to be on the losing end."

The Yankees and Twins play game 2 tonight, with Cliff Lee (2-1, 3.00) and Scott Baker (4-4, 3.81) the probable starters.

The Yankees aquired RP Zach Miner, 3B Don Kelly and RF Josh Burrus from the Tigers for C Bengie Molina.

Carlos Beltran with a nice catch on the track!

David, your swing is always Wright!

The Yankees were THAT close to tying the game!

Carl could not believe that he was called out, and the amazing winning streak is now over!

Late-inning rally takes life out of Yankees, who lose to the Mets.

New York was beaten by the Mets yesterday, losing a tight 6-5 interleague contest with a crowd of 41,800 fans on hand at CITI FIELD.

He only had 1 official at-bat -- and he banged out a hit -- but Lance Berkman drove in 1 run for the Yankees.

It was a "quality start" for Phil Hughes, who allowed 3 runs in 6 innings, but it was also a no-decision for him, as he was long gone when the game was decided.

Reliever Joba Chamberlain took the loss, getting lit up for 3 runs in two thirds of an inning in relief of starter Phil Hughes.

The Yankees, behind their ace C.C. Sabathia (5-2, 4.18), begin a new series in Minnesota Tomorrow night. The Twins give the starting nod to Francisco Liriano (3-0, 6.41).

The Yankees acquired C Bengie Molina from the Giants for SP Tim Redding, SP Jeremy Bleich and SP Jason Hirsh.
