Realignment Talks Heating Up

The Big 12 is hoping to be the big mover in the next realignment. They are looking to expand to 14 and be on level footing with the Big 10, SEC, and ACC. Rumors have it BYU and Cincinnati could be the first 2 selected, with 2 others still being considered. Possible candidates are USF, UCF, Memphis, Tulsa, Southern Miss, New Mexico, or Utah State.

The ACC hasn't stayed quiet, though. They are considering the possibility of being the first conference to go to 16 teams, and thus forming a "super conference". It is rumored they are looking at UConn, ECU, USF, UCF, and possibly Memphis.

The SEC has stated they are content with 14 members, along with the Big Ten, are neither are looking to respond.

The Pac 12 has stated they may look into expanding to 14 at some point, but they are not looking for candidates at the moment.

If realignment does occur, changes wouldn't take affect until the 2020 season.

#9 Temple Upset by Houston

After taking the lead with 30 seconds left, Houston returned the ball out to their 45 yard line, and with 3 timeouts left, moved the ball down the field. A 3 yard scamper scored the go ahead touchdown with 3 seconds left, which sealed the game for Houston

Temple Wins Nailbiter Against Ohio

Ohio ran all over Temple on Saturday, but in the end, Jr. QB Landon O'Donnell took the game in his hands, scoring with less than a minute to go to put Temple up by 1 point. With 298 yards passing and 107 yards running, he was the difference maker.

Ohio's running back Kevin Rich rushed for 168 yards and 2 TDs in Ohio's read option running attack. Their hurry up offense absolutely throttled Temples defense. Temples D rose to the occasion in the 2nd half, and only allowed 7 points.

Temple Has Another Bye Week, Prepares for Ohio University

The Temple Owls moved into the top 25 after their thrilling win against previously ranked #17 Syracuse. The Owls vaulted to #20.

Temple hopes to get more from their run game against the Bobcats. It was tough sledding against Syracuse, as they only gained 76 yards on the ground in 37 attempts. It was enough to open up the passing game, as Landon O'Donnell tossed for 211 yards and a touchdown.

O'Donnell looks to keep his starting role, as he was efficient, going 21-25.

The Owls will be hosting 3 recruits this week. Punter Tony Bennett, OLB Terrell Oliver, and OLB David Kirby have all scheduled their visits against the Bobcats
