Celtics Trade SF Caron Butler, SG Landry Fields, 2014 1st Pick, and SG Eddie House to Minnesota for SF Danny Granger, & SG Tracy McGrady. The Celtics wanted to get Henderson in starting lineup and Granger is an upgrade at SF. TMac also gets them a decent backup shooter. The Celtics were offered this right before their game with the TWolves so we will see how the deal pans out.

Moments after a trade for Ainge getting Okur, AK47, he made another massive move in a 3 way trade with Orlando and Miami. Here are the details!

Celtics Trade: Dirk Nowitzki, Brandon Bass, JJ Barea, Jeff Foster
Celtics Recieve: Chris Bosh, Udonnis Haslem, Chris Duhon, Ryan Anderson

Heat Trades: Chris Bosh, Michael Redd, Udonnis Haslem

Heat Recieve: Dirk Nowitzki, Brandon Bass, JJ Barea

Orlando Trades: Chris Duhon, Ryan Anderson

Orlando Recieves: Michael Redd, Jeff Foster

- Wow what a beauty deal. The Celtics werent getting enough out of Dirk who wasnt happy after a trade from Dallas (13.6ppg), so they went out and got a Franchise PF in Chris Bosh. They had to give up Bass who they liked, but they got Haslem back whos a similar player. Orlando needed a SG with RIP Hamilton going down to injury and Boston didnt want Redd so they got a backup PG in Duhon and flipped Foster for Anderson upgrade. Things are going to look different in Boston.

The Celtics after 4 games already made a shuffle to the roster, dealing C Deandre Jordan, SF Shane Battier & Boston 2013 1st Pick to Golden State for SF Andrei Kirilenko, & C Mehmet Okur. The deal comes as a suprise, but the team wanted more from Center, and Jordan didnt do anything in his 4 games with Boston averaging 2pts, 2reb and 1blk. Battier was moved to add Ak47 who is an upgrade as a backup SF position. Battier just wasnt playing like last year averaging 6.8pts in 4 games which is down from 9.7 last year off the bench. AK47 is getting 13.8pts 3.5reb 1.7stl and 1.7blks but that will take a hit comming off the bench. Okur is looking to improve on his 3pts 2.8 reb, but will get a big boost in value as he was behind Biedrins and Yao in Golden State.

The Boston Celtics say good bye to captain and top scorer Paul Pierce. They Traded Paul Pierce along with PF/C Andray Blatche to Dallas for PF Dirk Nowitzki & PG JJ Barea. The Celtics needed to shed Pierce's contract and it was up next season, and instead they get elite PF Dirk who currently has a 2 year deal. In order to get it to work they also got a better PG in Barea to backup Rondo while saying bye to Blatche. Pierce was very upset to be moved, but understands and thanks everyone for all the time spent in Boston. Word is that he may return next year for cheap to play 1 more year with Boston.

Draft:
The Celtics have 22 pick in this years draft, but rumor has it they are looking for a possible trade to get back a better player.

- Celtics Trade 2012 2nd Pick (53) & PG Avery Bradley to the Mavericks for SF/SG Caron Butler. The Celtics wern't really worried about picks and wanted to compete again this season. Butler gives them another scoring wing , and Dallas who looks to be on the rebuild gets a great young player and 2nd pick.

- Celtics Trade 2012 1st Pick (22) & Omar Asik to LA Clippers for C Deandre Jordan. The Celtics decided that Jordan could be their possible 1 center or backup to Blatche depending on what free agency brings. Asik was nice offensively but Boston needed more defense down low. The Celtics also liked his 3 year contract t Asik's 1.

- Grizlies trade SG Tony Allen & 2012 1st Round Pick to Detroit for Borris Diaw and Calbert Jamison.

Free Agency:
The Celtics are looking for a checp backup PG for Rondo, another SG (Starter or Backup), and possibly a Starting PF or C.

- Celtics Sign SG Landry Fields to a 3 year 19.01M contract with player option 4th season. Fields will step into the starting SG role for Boston and be chased by Henderson for PT

- Celtics Sign C Nazr Mohammed to a 1 year 487K contract. He will be nothing but a depth Center for Boston.

- Celtics Sign PG Eddie House to a 1 year 487K contract. He will assume backup PG duties unless Boston trades for a better option.

- Celtics Sign PF/C Jeff Foster to a 1 year 487K contract. He will be another depth big for Boston.

- Celtics Sign SF James Posey to a 1 year 487K contract. He will be a depth winger in case of injury.

Rumor: The Celtics are at the Cap and might be looking to deal Captian Paul Pierce for a cheaper option, or even PF/C Andray Blatche could be dealt according to Danny Ainge.

Yes sir, The Celtics took both games from Golden State in orderly fasion winning by 15+ points both games. The Celtics however have to get busy with offseason tasks now, and will be giving updates as they arive. Rajon Rondo won Finals MVP to add to his already stunning collection of awards this season. Enjoy the offseason, it should be busy as Celtics have alot of decisions to make.

Retired Players:
Shaq O`Neal (Inducted into Hall of Fame)
Raja Bell
Derek Fisher
Kenyon Martin
Antonio McDyess
Vince Carter
Steve Nash (Inducted into Hall of Fame)

Player Options:
Avery Bradley (2 Yr Team) -
Gerald Henderson (Team) -
Brandon Bass (Player) - Accepted
Lamar Odom (Team) - Declined

- The Celtics accepted both Bradley to assume backup PG duties, and Henderson to either start or backup the SG position depending on how the FA Market goes. The Celtics declined on Odom as they want to see what is out there. UFA Kevin Love is not expected to sign back so look for the Celtics to maybe go after an elite big man. Brandon Bass happily accepted his contract and will be staying on as backup PF.

Free Agency:
The Celtics have alot of Free Agents and they are looking to improve to compete again this year. Lamar Odom despite being declined his team offer might actually resign with Boston for less money. Here are the list of Free Agents from Boston and their rankings:

Lamar Odom (75) - Might be resigned to new contract
Kevin Love (83) - Not expected to sign
Jerry Stackhouse (61) - Not expected to sign
Patty Mills (70) - Expected to sign
Sam Young (68) - Not expteced to sign
Kwame Brown (58) - Not expected to sign

Here are the Boston Celtics under contract going into Free Agency (Yrs left):

PG: Avery Bradley (1+1), Rajon Rondo (3)
SG: Gerald Henderson (1)
SF: Paul Pierce (2), Shane Battier (3+1)
PF: Brandon Bass (1)
C: Omar Asik (1), Andray Blatche (3)

- The Celtics wanted to resign PG Patty Mills, but he was asking for way to much money, so they had to let him go.

The Celtics took a very exciting series to the last game and managed to pull off the W, to get them a ticket to the NBA Finals vs. Golden State. Andray Blatche returned at a key time for Boston and helped them to victory. Shane Battier and Paul Pierce were also key in shutting down Lebron James. The Series was back and forth, as Boston took game 1, Miami game 2, and Boston game 3 at home. NBA FINALS:
1) Boston Celtics vs. 2) Golden State Warriors
Preview: The Celtics show that their depth was key to beating the Heat, now they face a team with similar depth, including Monta Ellis (26ppg), Steph Curry (18.4ppg), David Lee (17.6ppg), and Yao Ming (16.3ppg). The Celtics although will come with their best including Paul Pierce (21.1ppg), Kevin Love (16.3ppg), Rajon Rondo (14.4ppg 8.4ast), and Andray Blatche (10.3ppg).
