It is with regret that I am cancelling my MLB 11 the show season. The game's batting was too hard for me. I could never recognize strike from balls and I was continually late on the fastball. I think the game is most amazing sports game I've ever seen graphically. I'm not saying anything negative about the game and/or game play. I just could not get the hang a of batting. I read all the Threads on the subject I practiced and played the game since March 8. I played on all-star level. I will still ... Read More

I am writing my journey this year with the new MLB 11 The Show game. This year I plan to play a season at All-Star level using all analog controls. I don't expect much this year but I want to play at a higher level. My season will start on June 18 plan to finish in September. I've had the game since release date and I've had a really hard time learning to play the game with the new analog controls at All-Star Level. The pitching I got in the first week. The fielding I got down about one week ago. ... Read More

Hello Everyone. My Season as the Yankees is finished and I won the World Series. Nick Swisher was the MVP. C.C Sabbathia won 2 games and Mariano Rivera saved 3. I know everyone who's followed the blog pretty much expected me to win it all and I did. My main goal was to play 162 games and I did. I played with the best team in the game too. I was still challenged. I rarely had blow outs and hitting is still very difficult for me. To the credit of the game developers I never figured it out completely. ... Read More

The Yankees are 100-35 as September begins. August was not that great They had a 17-12 record. They hit under .300 for the first time and lost 2 series in the month.
With 27 games left to play. I find it harder to concentrate on playing I usually don't play more than 2 games a day. Arod stats cooled but he could still get a Triple Crown (.382,51Hrs,132) RBI's. Andy Pettite is 20-5,he lost 3 games and had no decision this month. I'm going to have 2 more series with the Red Sox. They are 13 ... Read More

The month of August has not been too easy. The Yankees have lost 7 games this month already. All of my hitters were in slumps. I couldn't get anything going. But today against the Detroit Tigers I had a really emotional comeback victory. Andy Petite vs Dontrell Willis. On paper a mismatch, but that's why they play the game. For the first five innings each team could only muster 1 run apiece, but in the 6th inning the Tigers broke it open with a 2 run rbi by Miguel Cabrera and in the 7th Carlos Guillen ... Read More

Even though I have a huge lead (12 games) over the Red Sox, but they're still in the hunt. I've lost one to the Rangers and the Blue Jays, a series to the Royals. I lost 3 out of 4 to the Royal. My hitting has gone into the tank. I wonder if there is something built in to cause slumps. I have roughly 46 games left in the season, but I am losing interest and games. I play at default level (veteran level, sliders untouched).

I've tried many different methods of hitting in the past ... Read More

The Yankees finish July 80-23 and won there first game in August. The Alex Rodriguez is leading the AL in batting average .402 HR's 41 and RBI's 112. He is not a MLB triple crown threat because Ryan Howard has 47 HRs. I will not sacrifice my season for A-Rod to get the triple crown, but I'd be happy if he did it.I have 57 games left to play.. My main goal with the Franchise is to complete it. You know even with playing at an easier level(veteran) I still have to get motivated to play the game. ... Read More

The Yankees are 73-20. The 20th loss was particularly agonizing. First the team I lost to was the Angels. I really don't care for the Angels. I think they're organization is always overrated. That is just my opinion. The game was a tight pictures duel CC vs Joe Saunders. Tex hit a 2 run hr in the bottom of the first and Marcus Thames hit a hr in the 7th. Saunder pitched well. I struck out 7 times and when I didn't strike out he got me to ground out a lot. CC had 5 strike out through 8 inning. I ... Read More

The Yankees are 71-19 now. I played through the All-Star Break last week. I played the HR derby and A-rod narrowly beat Ryan Howard. I played the All-Star Game as the AL. It was a 0-0 tie until the 7 inning. The player of the game was Texas Ian Kinsler with a 2 run blast in the bottom of 7. In that inning the AL hit 3 hrs total and added one more in the 8. The winning pitcher was Andrew Bailey of the A's he pitched the 7th and 8th innings.
The AL will have home field for the World Series. ... Read More

The Yankees have won 2 of 3 games against the Dodgers. Lost first game 2-1. In the second and third game the yankee bats came back to life and won 13-2 and 10-6. Interleague is finished. Tex's average did drop in the games against the Diamond Backs and Dodgers. He is down to .395. But like I said in previous posts. I'm about winning games not padding stats.
The best news is that CC Sabathia is finally off the DL. He still hurt, but I activated him and he should be back in a couple of days. ... Read More

The Yankees played a spirited series with the Mets all close games 5-3,5-3,5-4. All Yankee victories. Mark Teixeira is hitting .401 in June. Played a couple of games with the PCI on. I have a hard time concentrating on the ball and the PCI at the same time so I've turned it back off. I'm starting a 6 game west coast swing. CC has 4 days left on the DL. I'll be happy to have him back.

The Yankees are 2-2 since my last post. I a losing effort against the Blue Jays (3-1). Phil Hughes accomplished the Three pitch inning. I got the "tres bien" trophy. The next game The yankees held on to win 11-10 over the Jays. Teixeira hit 3 hrs and in his 4th at-bat he hits a deep fly to center which is caught. The checked the swing analysis and it was Contact:Superb and Time: Perfect. So much for time and contact. The Yankees were up in this game at one point 10-2. The pitching was bad. I played ... I've finally finished all the game in the month of May and I've played the first 2 games of June. My record is 40-12. I updated my Albums screen shots with a shot of my ranking in the AL East standing. I lost a game to the Cleveland and Baltimore. C.C Sabathia has 25 days left on the DL. I hope he'll stay healthy when he returns. To real high points of the season have been the Pitching of Phil Hughes and the lift I've been getting off the bench from Marcus Thames. In fact I have put Thames in as ... Read More

Finally came back to earth a little. Lost a game to the Mets (10-6). I next game of the series 4-1. big event in that game was I got the Good Start( 15 strike outs) trophy. My pitchers Burnett,Marte, and Rivera combined for 16 strike outs. I was shoot for the trophy because I thought you had to get all 15 strikes with the starting pitcher. I started a 3 game series with the Minnesota Twins. I won the first game 6-4. A-rod and Granderson had 3 RBI's a piece.
