Gorgeous stadiums but players look the exact same. Look at the same exact body types. Everyone still has the same size torso/legs. Disappointing. That animation in the end zone has been in every trailer the last 3 years too.

It looks good but I'm skeptical. It looks like the footage they showed at E3 when the current gen systems were just coming out.

Brady's arm at about 19 seconds is funny looking.

The stadium shot in the beginning of the video looks gorgeous. I'm hoping the game actually looks like that. I figured they would have a story mode in 18. I won't play it but am happy for those who have been wanting a story mode in Madden.

New engine, same animations

My initial feeling is they spent a lot of time on some story mode while the gameplay will still be mediocre. Obviously need to see more but nothing about that trailer got me excited in any way. Trailers always look better than the actual game.

I would guess that looking out to Lucas Oil implies there is a story mode that you start at the combine at LO

Just give us 2K levels of team creation/customization and it will be insta-buy.

I agree with the earlier comment that the lighting and stadiums look fantastic but he players look exactly the same (body types, uniforms fitting funny, etc)

Hope this story mode isn't following in the footsteps of what FIFA did this year.

Let's just hope that EA Madden didn't concentrate on story mode and put career/franchise mode on hold.
Ahem, FIFA.....

You guys got to see like 3 action scenes. Give it time before throwing out "it's all the same animations".

I really hope the new story mode doesn't affect the development of Franchise mode. I'd never touch the story side of this.

Typical teaser-hype trailer. A lot of cinematic angles to get people thirsty.

Based off the end of the trailer it looks like story mode is going to be a thing they will hammer. I hope this leads to some face scanning like NBA2K has. I'm a franchise guy but I would mess around with it if i could get my actually face in the game. Really adds to the experience.

Tom Brady's arm does look like he went on a massive diet over the off season

I saw a lot of the same. I doesn't look like there will be new equipment (Norman wasn't wearing the shooter sleeve). And the same unrealistic fly in the air one handed catch animations that have been in every trailer for the past 3 years.

# 16 PlayerMode @ 05/12/17 11:31 AM
If there's a story mode I hope it's more of a "create your own" story mode like this years MLB RTTS rather than FIFA's "play through the eyes of one guy for a single season" type thing.

For a split second in the beginning on the bottom it does say "game engine footage" as I said in another thread though, frostbite is pretty darn close to what the pre rendered footage looks like.

Which would be AWESOME if the graphics actually looked different from M17 and 16. From the trailer the only graphical differences seem to be the stadiums and surrounding areas.

I try not to be negative as I'm a Madden lover and I really have enjoyed the direction this group is going in, and I know that was just a casual sizzle trailer for the kids - But, that crappy intercept animation was the first real thing shown besides Zeke... Not only is it a sucky animation, it's a pretty old one. Just not a great pick for a teaser trailer. That brown catch was.....well it looked nice, but it was pretty damn crazy. That would be the catch of the season if it happened irl

maybe the trailer title would be madden as ever seen non to so much impressed really, hope that I'm wrong and in next months anticipation will be better than this teaser trailer.
